Detroit made playoffs last year. Andre Drummund is a free agent this summer I believe. He can opt out.

Adding Drummond is perfect for Young. He will average 7 blocks a game. That would be great for Atl

Griff is another guy that would have been a "perfect" knick! Past prime, injury issued, and big contract!
Detroit build a new arena downtown and someone forgot to tell the team while the whole Urban thing is cool, its till freaking Detroit!
Nobody came. So Tom Gores (im pretending to know shyt here) calls Dolan and asks him what he should do. "Starphuch your way to playoff birth with a name!!".
"Brilliant!".........."I'll get one with a big fresh new contract to show the good people of Michigan I mean it!" Attaboy Tommy!!!
I don't know what they will do as Drummond wants big money and at least if he can't have that, might find himself a nicer city to play in. I can't think of a worse one actually. Indy, Philly and Milwaukee kind of all suck. Drummond is in prime beat. Is Randle and Mitch > Drummond? Markus and Mitch for Drummond?
Markeif is there. They can foul out and switch jersey's.
I don't think we have a mutual interest here. Im ok with riding it out with Mitch.

I don't think it's a good idea- you shouldn't really spend big money on centres any more unless they are elite- Drummond isn't

He's got a $28m PO next year which he's surely picking up. Why isnt Drummond elite? He's not the 2-way scorer like Jokic but he's def an impact player. He's an absolute vacuum on the glass and you can 4-1 type team on the floor thats impossible to defend with Drummond in the middle to clean up the mess keep possesions alive I love pairing Drummond and Young. I wouldnt make Drummond out but in a league where max guys get $35-$40mm locking up Drummond for 4/80 or 5/100 seems about right. He's also 26 and never misses games.

The thinking was he wants his free agency. Its a thin market this year and money will be available. He can do an extension. This trade value depends on likely agreement on a price he signs. Elite? He avg's 16 rebounds a game and over 17pts a game.

Empty numbers.

There interior defense is one of the worst in the league. Mitch impacts the game more inside and at a 10th if the price. You can’t pay centers big money.

Yep, if they’re willing to go to $28mil for a center then they’re better off going with OKCs Adams as he plays defense as well as rebounding

Have you seen the hawks center alex len and damion jones they are both trash center and drummond is huge upgrade over that trash. I think the hawks are last in rebounding they need center badly via draft wiseman or drummond.

They need defense, Drummond is absolutely terrible at that
