Both lefty PFs with good mid range game, finishing ability, passing and rebounding. Not great defensively. Lee was an allstar fill in at his best with the Knicks and could lead a 30 win team in scoring and rebounding. Randle can probably do the same. I think they are very comparable as far as impact and strengths/weaknesses. Who’s better ?

I like Randle a lot. I think it's a fair comparison of sorts. I think Lee was maybe a better passer, better team player, better rebounder.

Julius' per 36 are stronger on a scoring basis - but Lee's best per 100 are very much stronger- probably in part due to the better teams he was on.

I like Randle long term for our team. these past couple games, he has willed us to victories.

My biggest concern was Randle with Robinson, but it seems like Payton and coach miller have helped to fix that issue. I saw some advanced metrics somewhere that they are a net positive on the court together.

I have faith that if you give Coach Miller enough time, he'll get the best out of our players, and that players like Randle, Robinson and Morris can all coexist, play off each other and support each other.

I hope we keep him (Miller). He is so perfect, he's like JVG 2.0. He is the anti-Fizdale, there is so little polish and just hard work.

We haven't had this kind of coach since Woodson and maybe Chaney.

Randle's talent and type of performance made it hard for all the Lakers coaches to find a fit with Randle and teammates in a lineup. Lakers receive 4 lottery picks in Randle's 4 season as a Laker. Plus last season coach Gentry won the Number-1 draft pick "ZION" trying to fit Randle & Payton into lineups having Holiday & AD.

The Knicks GM & Coach should have known they needed to resign DeAndre Jordan before signing Randle !!!

David Lee were a complimentary player that fit well in a lineup with all his teammates.

how is that a measure of anything? Pelicans got just as many lottery picks when they had Anthony Davis.

Randle is paid like a complimentary player. The question is does he compliment? I wish he was better defensively but he's not useless there, he's physical and great on the boards. Randle isnt anything magical but he's a good player, productive and def looks like he could be part of a winning team. Also looks like a good teammate, coachable, accountable, good worker... after a bad start for everything I like what I see from Randle under Miller. This is the guy we signed up for.

I think it is an apt comparison. I will say though the Knicks probably wish they had just held onto Lee instead of one year of peak of Amar'e. Once upon a time Lee was an All Star for the GSW, the first All Star since Spree, and he was the best player on a team that had Steph, Klay, Dray, Bogut, and Harrison Barnes. I know it was early in a lot of those guys careers but there was a time DLee was the best player on the Dubs and the year he was an all star for them the WC was friggin stacked

I started a thread before the season started (too lazy to look for it) indicating that the point forward IDEA was going to overwhelm him.

He just looks more comfortable in the role he's in now, Nothing seems forced

Since Miller replaced Fiz, I've been warming up to Randle - but not as a center. He's good as a pf playing next to Mitch.

The part about Randle or "Being too lazy"? LOL!! Just kidding. Rainman was an early advocate of laying blame on losing.
He also said we'd never win because of "Bad habits". Who freaking cares! Knicks succeed everyone happy!!!
Go Rainman!!!

When Frank made the dunk last night he let "The dark side take over".......Good, Good, very good!!!!
