What is, and what can be.
If there is no hope of Knox then there is that mindset. A future doomed.
A 20 year old.
Frank a 21 year old.
Frustrated as we are we are blind to hope. KP souring and DSjr off seaosn demise certainly puts a darkness over the franchise.
Fans liike to go with what they can see. Morris is our only bright spot this year. No credit to anyone for the good. Just blame for what isn't. No reason to be happy.

The Good.......

Morris as an asset or trade bait.
Robinson: Its not Deandre Jordan, its the lack of Fiz? Kid is coming around.
Barrett: He is better than we thought? We know the inconsistency would continue. Age wise he should be a freshman in college.
Payton: This is what 8mm buys you. Insurance.
Mike MIlle:. not even close to being out of the woods. But respectable first 10 days on the job.

The Bad........

Frank. Maybe if we take some steps back we see he is improving as some games are really quite good. Then he gets sent to the corner. While no miracle turn around he is shooting better and his handle improved.
Randle: I see the potential and see he could be used better. I also see the turn overs. when your a losing team the "bad" is really not a terrible thing!LOL
Iggy Braz........I just wanted to include him.
Dotson.........Sort of not the problem and not the solution at the same time.
Ellington. I was not expecting much. Its not really him, its the team around him.
Knox. Young gun with bigger shoulders a bit lost at the moment. Im not giving up on him. The talent is there. His head is a mess.
Kadeem. He'll get another chance. We like him because he has yet to disappoint. Not a ringing endorsement is it?

The Ugly.......

Fiz. Gone. Nalod's history is rarely to throw the coach under the bus. I don't have the story. At the same time you don't see me droning about any that departed. Once a decisoin is made I run with hit.
Dennis: From an outside view he looks like he had back surgery. Where is Dennis? Looks bad we extended him now and I hope there was a purpose to it. I don't understand what is going on with him. THis is not the same player from last year.
Trier: Iso Zo has his fans. Im not one of them. He is living up to his no draft status. He does have an NBA offense but lacks either the desire or ability to round out his game. He'll tear up the Gleague if sent. Has the swag of Brandon Jenniungs and Trey Burke. Can score buckets as a tweener. This kid out of high school was the "it" guy. Hope he gets it together.
Dolan.

Side note, is Masai Ujiri worth two NBA first round picks?
Trade market for Randle and Morris will be interesting. Money has to come back for it to happen.

Hell no. Had KL not made his shot against Philly, it would have been a bad trade for Toronto. He made a very risky move. He got lucky. He's a good GM but he's no god.
He fleeced the knicks. That's no great feat.

The bad is KP doing work and leading the Mavs past the Bucks while watching Randle shoot 6 three pointers a game and dribble off his leg three times a game.

We would have had a fun team if we just stood pat with a much brighter future.

We are literally excited about moral victories now.

Certainly regrettable KP leaving as he did. Bad work on both sides. It happened.

I guess we can talk about spilled milk all day long.

He is also shooting 40% from the field, 34% from 3. Ping us back when he doesn't miss 20 games in a season.

TRUTH.

KP would still make this team better. He's still the same player we saw in NY, in spite of the more filled out frame.. He's a difference maker (and maybe a 2nd or 3rd option) on an average or good team, but he doesn't look like the centerpiece on a great team. Which is fine. He has a real chance of success in Dallas with Doncic.

I think he wanted to get out of Derozans deal. To get Leonard and not give up Siakam or OH was brilliant.

He took a chance and succeeded. I’m sorry, the franchise took a chance. Anyone thing the owner is not involved in some way with a massive decision like that? It took balls and ability not to panic. Two traits Dolan does not exhibit. Guts and confidence. My point is there might be good execs out. Phil lost most everyone’s confidence but when it came time to trade KP at value Dolan cut him loose. Sometimes you have to things that piss fans off. Move Ewing and trading KP before they lost value. Its not like this is a fans hindsight lament. These are two instances where the franchise was at a crossroad. Legitimate.
