An argument can be made that after Morris, Zo is the most skilled offensive player on this team. Its a small sample size, but he is damn near 50-40-80 (78% from the line). Obviously, his defense or lack thereof is keeping him out of the lineup, but hopefully Miller can coach him on the defensive side of the ball because his offense if needed on most nights.

Dotson hasn't done much since being inserted into the line-up. He's shooting below 40% from 2 and 3 pts range. He hustles, but let's not pretend that he is a lockdown defender. As an undrafted player Zo was a great find by the staff, and clearly by his play last year was a 1st round talent. Hopefully, Zo will start to get some minutes soon.

I 100% agree, when we went through the slump in the 3rd last night I was thinking why is zo on the bench the kid is instant buckets. He’s honestly our third best scorer behind Randle and Morris, the kid deserves minutes.

he can shoot. that doesn't necessarily make someone a great offensive player. His problem at least was that he was a ball stopper which hurts team offense. This was somewhat expressly encouraged by Fizz last year when he would tell the media Alonzo was the one guy on the team allowed to hog the ball

Frankly, i like the kid and hope that he finds a consistent role on the team. My hope is Miller is taking baby steps towards changing the schemes and rolls -- to minimize confusion

the problem with Alanzo is the problem with the roster- for players 4-8 or 4-10 - they're all kinda about the same - they bring some things, warts elsewhere and none of them are really head and shoulders above others.

Who's better - Zo or Knox?
Who's better- Zo or Dotson?

The way Frank and Smith have played the last few games. Miller's hand may be forced.

I would add Dotson to that list as well....I like that Miller has rewarded Payton's good play with minutes. Hopefully he does the same with everyone else...

this is why the coach should be playing them all and making them play hard or sit. There's a guy right behind you willing to bust ass

His defense is really bad and he is a black hole.
If team will have some stable game one day player like him can be useful in stretches.
But if team working on establishing some kind of system and identity he is a big determent.

Agreed.

Not the type of guy you want on our team.

He's better off on an above average playoff team where a true pecking order is well established.

On the Knicks he tries too hard to be the guy.

Zo has the type of potential that some coaches who are big on development and teaching would love to get their hands on. Itd possible to see a better version of Zo if he is coached-up.
