your new york knickerbockers celebrate an early tanksgiving this year in the home of the nba world champion su-ronto raptors.

knicks go into the champions den losers of 13 of 17, including 3 in a row.

the world champion 12-4 raptors are coming off a huge win at home against the sixers. raptors have been w/o lowry + ibaka since the start of their west coast trip 8 games ago and have gone 6-2 during that time. lowry will still be out. ibaka is most likely a game time decision.

good news - this is what happened the last time the knicks faced the raptors the day prior to thanksgiving:

knicks made history with an incredible 3rd quarter. maybe history can repeat itself?!?!?!

i will leave you with some goodies:

our fans ain't too shabby either:

and of course the thing that's the sexiest one of all:

this thread can serve a dual purpose. consider this an AMA for dj. as a fan that's now a champion, ask me anything about the nba and i will do my best to answer. i am here to help you all. no question is silly and do not feel intimidated. hey, remember, i used to be one of you! think of me as the one in the family that actually got out of the slums and got the college degree and the big time job - the one that made it!

Naw, more like the dude still living in your moms basement. Mom got remarried to a rich guy and moved you and mom to a nicer house in a great neighborhood with a much bigger and nicer basement. You have your friends over and say “ I feel a great sense of achievement and very proud of this place”. Fact is your a good dude and nice to your mother and the new husband. You keep the place clean and likethe guy. HE likes you too and if it keeps “mom” happy, they why not. YOu still have a nice relationship with you your dad. ITs all really lovely. YOur friends are happy for you, maybe wish our mom’s would remarry such a good guy. You show us around, tell us all the things he let you pick out and its really nice. You find out new dad won his money in the lottery but why should that matter. Good people get lucky. You are still nice to your dad and your friends and they to you.
Maybe the sense of accomplishment is a bit much because nobody really “Paid for it”.
Meanwhile your friends from the old neighborhood are moving out of their parents place and getting their own. THey are building careers and working hard. They are struggling. Some more than others. They are a proudfull group Even going to school. You are still basking in the recent good fortune and decide you like your part time job as your quite content with things. You know deep down it’s not the same as what your friends are doing. To make yourself feel better you still visit them. They still like you, but you feel not part of the group anymore. Your new friends in new neighborhood were there long before you and worked hard for their houses. They like you and at gatherings talk of the “Good old days when they struggled”. Then they look at you. You tell them how you moved with new dad and they pat you on the back and say “good for you chap”. For you there is no “WE” in “We the North”.

good question.

my pick to win it all this year? barring injury or mid-season acquisition, the clippers. they are better balanced and deeper than the lakers. in the east, favorites are the bucks but them, sixers, raptors and celtics all have some chance to get to the final since they each have flaws. playoffs will be fun this year. as a side prediction, i think we may see a semi-implosion from the sixers at some point with a major trade or a coaching change after the season.

thanks for the question.

any other question folks? i'm here through wednesday night :)

Cute, but they're all kind of flat in the back. It's like they all made a deal with the devil and transferred their @$$3$ to Lowry to give him enough power to waddle a few extra years in Toronto. Or did Kawhi take them all with him when he stole and broke your hearts at the same time?

For whatever reason I had heard team or someone was going to do something special for his arrival, looks like we are going to miss that

raptors are doing a special tribute to each canadian player that play there this year. it's part of the 25th raptor anniversary and canadian basketball celebration.

Just a cursory search on the Internets on the Internets and I found this. Not close to being Atlanta or even a typical Dominican mami in NY, but at least it's something I guess Toronto's version of the Miss Bumbum contest.
