I wonder what position Frank ends up playing for France. Him stepping up and having success in these games would do wonders for him.

I do think that if he has has a big tourney he probably gets his option picked up. Now, I just don't see it

Dang frank, that’s a big defensive pg. who can overwhelm his opponents physically don’t underestimate frank this year. Year 3 is usually a big year for PG ‘s

is that coming out as a 4 year college grad? Which is 4 years away still.

Does last year count with his 904 minutes played?

We're still, I think, 2-3 years away from actually knowing if this kid can translate into an NBA contributor.

Don't know why this upcoming year can't be an indicator

They weren’t kidding when they said he had the biggest star and bust potential when he was drafted.

I sincerely hope so!

But what is the likely #'s he will put up this year?

Assuming he is healthy, how many minutes does he get on this team?

Is he getting minutes as a PG? If DSjr and Payton are healthy, no.

Is he getting minutes as a SG? I have a hard time seeing that.

Now- we're in the front court. Is he getting minutes as SF? Maybe, but how many players will he be behind?

If he is lasting with NY past this season, I think he's got to grab some kind of opportunity in training camp, show something we've only seen in flashes, but sustain it and prove he belongs.

Because otherwise, he gets 10-20 minutes a game, averages 5-8 points a night, and his option is not picked up, and he goes the way of Burke, Mudiay and others - nice players that had promise, but didn't show enough to prevent the front office from wanting to evaluate other nice players with promise and maybe more of a proven track record.

Significant progress. That's all that matters. If Frank is still acting like a fish out of water on the court, he's done.

Dunking in a game would be a good way to make use of his length. Someone with Frank's height and reach should be more aggressive in the paint. Otherwise they're empty stats, so to speak.

I just don't see where he's getting minutes unless somebody gets injured.

For me it just seems it takes pg’s 3 or 4 years in the NBA to really figure it out letting the game come to them. Look at Lowery who looked like a bust his first 3 /4 years before coming into his own
, or even d Russ. Or how Rubio was injured forever before building up his strength.

PG’s take time to develop... year 3 to 4 of NBA experience is a big stepping year especially for guards coming in at 18/19 years old.

I see frank coming into his own and letting the game come to him, he’s always had nice form on his shot, if he can become consistent and a threat from the outside it will open up the inside for him to over power his defender. At 6’7 225 he should dominate his pg opposition on both ends. Hopeful he can find a aggressive mindset because physically he is tantalizing.

Also look at the PG’s that came out of college with a bang like D rose seems like a super star that faded quick and the others like cp3 or Jkidd are generational once every 10 years.

Most PG’s in the NBA fall within the 3/4 year development before you know what they will become.

But it's not so much the years in the league as in age and experience.

Lowry didn't put up any decent numbers until he was 24/25.

And I don't think we're going to truly know about Frank until he is at least that age.

Another 15 pounds and a few more inches to the midsection and those Boris Diaw comparison will be spot on.

Of course you can't. Nobody can. We did not see him grow either. It was told to us last summer he was still growing.
Hit the damn shot. That's all we need to see. The world opens up if he does.

Wings.......
Knox
RJ Barrett
Dot
Trier
Frank

Pg's are Dennis and Payton

Players will get hurt. Frank can play Three positions. Traditional PG's are a thing of the past. I don't know where Fiz is going with this kid.
I don't Trust Berman who always has him traded, or how Knicks value him. I sure has hell don't trust the Rainman who has no objectivity.
I don't know How Team France will use him and thus can't imagine how knicks will value him regardimg extension. With no huge free agent market next year and a roster full of flex the question is his potential. Kid is still young. Not my decision. I'll root for him in a knick uniform. Just hope the team gets it right with him. Be awful to let him walk then he emerges into something special.

Frank is 6'7 225 with a 7'2 wingspan
