To be a Knicks fan is to perennially ask this question.
Yes, only one way up from here
No, we are cursed as long as Dolan owns the team

The Knicks have had so many low points over the last 20 years that it's hard to rank them. But what happened on Sunday is near the top of the list.

It’s really easy to see it this way, and I can understand the reaction but this isn’t as black or white as media is and will keep pushing to us.

Kyrie comes from imploding in one of the most stories franchises who had given him the keys to the kingdom. Yet he amazingly crashed and burned mostly on his own doing.

KD was the prize the Knicks really wanted and if it hadn’t been for the Achilles injury, I think we would’ve accepted Kyrie just to get Durant. The injury changed everything. Instead of KD convincing Kyrie to dominate NY in a franchise where winning would make you a legend, it was Kyrie letting KD know Brooklyn was willing to wait for him to rehab for a chance to be the NY team to bring a championship sooner.

What the Knicks did will make all bully them for years, but may end up being the most sensible business decision while thinking about developing young players and with some veteran help win now in hopes to either strike gold with some of the yourth and/or leave things open to sign a big free agent in 2021.

This isn’t rock bottom. We hit that many times in the past. This is us slowly getting back up. May not be the superhero jump and landing we hoped months ago, but it is a solid step forward.

Everytime I want to change my sig.....I hear knick fans crying again. Guess I'll leave it.

It doesnt matter what the knicks do.....knick fans are going to find something to cry about. Its getting old.

We just added tradable contracts with flexibility to add free agents. And a roster that gives the young guys freedom to learn.

Dont see anything wrong so far.

We went fishing, didnt catch any big fish....so we went to another pod where smaller fish was available.

Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!

Very satisfied with the free agency results.
No malcontents, no albatross contracts, no overpaying.
Great job by FO in another step into right direction.
Respect.

You hear it on sports radio 24/7: Dolan should sell the team.

What the hell does Dolan have to do with a broken KD and a soon to be broken again Kyrie - no D - documented team malcontent signing with the Nyets?

DO
ANYTHING

Have to say this is dumb... great off season, didn’t sign a over rated Kyrie and a injured old Durant. If you ask me nets will probably not make the playoffs next year. Kyrie couldn’t even bring a stacked celts team to the ECF what makes you think he can bring a washed up DeAndre and Chris LeVert to the playoffs. Haha

Knicks meanwhile, got a up and coming star in randle on a two year with a team option! and another solid pick up in Portis( very well could start at Center), three point shooter in bullock, and a savy vet in Taj to anchor our second unit.

If New Yorkers could look at the bigger picture, we have our first(potential lottery) and Dallas’s first(probably lottery)

So next year.

Mitch,Portis,second Round Pick
Randle,first pick,Taj
Dallas Pick,Knox,Iggy
Barrett,zo,dot
DSJR,Frank

I just put the picks where ever. But Adding two potential lottery or good 1st round picks next year to this roster is exciting!

Not a good poll. For one thing, this is clearly nowhere near the bottom. Have you forgotten the IT years, the Eddy Curry years, all the starphucking pointlessness, all the wasted years?

At least now we're following a plan to build through the draft, and we're not jumping ship when high priced FA spurn us. We dodged a bullet: KD was going to rupture that achilles...let's be glad it happened BEFORE the Knicks signed him to a max. This spared us from another quagmire.

Focus on youth, development, building a culture, getting back to winning games. We're not going to beat Lakers or Warriors or Raptors (et al) in the next couple of years. But we're on the way back...slow and steady.

FINALLY!

I think we may have hit a new high for the last twenty years. Even when the Knicks had Melo and were getting to the playoffs it wasn’t sustainable because of bad contracts and no assets. The Knicks had a great draft and added Julius Randle and Bobby Portis. The team has youth, talent, cost controlled players, cap room and lots of picks. That is from big picture planning. The Knicks have not been this healthy as a franchise since Dolan took over the team.

Don't agree with enthusiasm about Portis, who Bulls and Wiz did not think was worth keeping. But okay, not a terrible chance to take. He was a high pick and thought to be a possible foundational piece.
Think we overpaid for Randle signing. He is also a high usage post up player and plays no defense. But okay, he is young and had a good season last year. Thought we overpaid for Bullock and Gibson as there were many "vets" to be had at a cheaper price.

Will have to focus on Smith Jr, RJ and Knox's continued development. All players I feel can be very good. Also, hope we continue the "Best Player" available strategy for next years draft. Thought Perry did well in this years draft.

Biggest gripe is not trading for salary dumps and added draft picks once we missed out on top FA's.
But cant say this is a high after losing our best draft pick in 40 years. And yes, do blame Mills, Phil and Dolan for not maintaining a good relationship with him. For those saying he is a diva and the one to blame, they have not paid attention to the cluster we have up top.

But agree, this is not rock bottom. I've been a fan of this frustrating organization way too long to say that. We have a better outlook in years. Problem is, we have all been waiting way too long.

I voted for bottom because I want Dolan to sell. But honestly this is the first smart move business or basketball wise this team has made in 10 yrs easily. I hope the worm has turned and we should be better next yr but the question is how much.
We have two pg that cant shoot
RJ and trier
Knox, Dotson and BUllock
Randle and Portis
Mitch and Taj
I think we need a mentor in the back court and would love a run at Parker, the talent is there but injuries slowed him down. Him as 3 on this team would look pretty good esp when we go small
