Please stop.
The Knicks future is not Durant, Davis or even Kemba Walker. It is not Kyrie, Kalyan or Kawhi.
Although Kawhi would be sweet, for now, it ain’t hap’nin. It ain’t. Stop it.
The Knicks future is Thursday night. The Knicks future is young and younger.
The Knicks future is the next Pascal Siakam or John Starks/ Fred VanVleet.
It is the guys we never heard of.
Get with the program.
Not sure why the Knicks are being accused of a failed attempt. They made a fair offer, realized that the Pels were being greedy, and diplomatically and publicly said, "No thanks".
IMO, the Knicks offered better value than the Lakers talent-wise but fell short [if that's what you call it] in protecting their future draft picks. This is nothing less than competent management practice. They should be commended.
Had a reasonable trade been agreed to the cupboard would still have been stocked with lots of youth goodness unlike the Melo trade.
Barring a cosmic anomaly, we are not signing Kawhi. BUT... you never know.
