I did not realize Lance Thomas contract could be entirely waived previous to 6/30 for zero cap hit. Looks like Knicks would bring him back on min contract (~$2.3 vet min) if they had open roster spot after signing free agents.

If its an open roster spot, sure. Good to have someone on the bench who has been on the team for a while, knows how things work at MSG. To help the recent and soon to be drafted players. If he's healthy, Lance's D could be a big help.
