Sweet! (and expected) Now 2 max contracts are no longer needed we can keep Frank too (when it looked like we'd land KD and Kyrie we'd have to move either Frank or Trier to clear up the cap space needed as we were a few hundred thousand short)

My guess is they plan to move Frank for a 2nd round pick to clear another 5 mil in space. Trier (and Dotson) were always a priority to bring back.

We don't need the second max slot anymore so I'd rather keep Frank and buy a 2nd.

I think it signals that we've cooled down on AD.

Not a surprise. Trier showed a very good ability to square himself to the basket, from all sorts of angles. Fearless. Apparently alienated some teammates who thought he wasnt sharing the rock enough. At first I got the need for Trier to establish himslef, but he kept looking to shoot, after it was clear he had an NBA game. Going to have to earn his teammates trust next season.

If Trier can become a better passer, could be an important bench player going forward.

We’re not doing any of those deals, and I doubt we sign any significant FA

lol..are 100% sure about that, because I'm reading just the opposite..

They have every intention on pursuing AD....Rich paul basically told every team in the NBA not name knicks or laker that he won't resign..Would you gut your team for him?

On the other hand, I don't see mills or perry savvy enough to make any worthy trades. They are way to conservative to make any kind of risky trade.

Supposedly the Knicks got denied an offer and don’t want to go further because they don’t want to gut the team. I have read that.

I read that the Pelicans want a young star along with picks. The don't think any of our pieces are as good as, say, Kuzma or Tatum and I agree with their assessment

Yeah, the Lakers are the front-runners and it makes sense from a fit standpoint. Our front-office has been very savvy in controlling the media dialogue, so nothing would surprise. But I don't see us having the pieces to redirect someone like Beal and entice the Pelicans into sending us AD.

There's also new rumors that AD told R.Paul to get him to the Lakers and said that AD is gonna go into free agency in 2020 no matter what team trades for him so if i'm the Knicks i'm getting some kind of guarantee from AD that he'll re-sign before i trade anything for him cause sounds to me like he wants the Lakers.

Trier has a lot to prove in his second year, like being consistent. Frank's trade value is minus zero! I have high hopes for Knox in his second year as he showed some flashes last year. Lets not forget Barrett who could be a great one. FA is a mine field as we are already seeing as all the hype has gone out the window. Stay the course and don't panic.
