Here is the thing with KD - I really believe he is a different kind of athlete. He probably has several good years left in him.
The more I think about his injury, the more I do think we should hold off signing him, and then if we do because we strike out elsewhere- please to god get the last year to be a team option.
But I worry this has Noah written all over it. This has Amar'e written all over it. This has McDyess written all over it.
We'll be getting our star player, but too late, after they put too many miles on their body, and injuries limited their ability to perform.
I guess I see KD continuing to flourish as an outside shooter. I don't know about his mobility on the defensive end, but he is a great shooter and there is no reason he can't continue to be one. But he isn't going to be averaging 30 in play off games. Maybe 10-15 as a role player.
