KP will at some point defend his position as to why he wanted out of NY.
Painting Janis and him as villains is very easy for fans to apply but at the end of the day I'd like to know what the real reason was.
"Winning" does not hold enough truth. He could have been paired with Durant as a one two punch. He should have seen himself as part of the solution.
Rumors of him being a follower of "Oak", or an "Devote Orthodox Oak-ist" are not valid.
If he wanted his own team and rumors of Durant ruin seems a bit of a stretch.
If he refuses his qualified offer and truly goes free agent I'd at least respect his commitment to driving his own destiny to the team of his choice.

I wonder if he prefers to play in Europe where he can be a top draw, still make some serious bank and have an easier schedule. His physical make up might make sense. 82 games is brutal.

The kid turned out to be a snarky little shyt but on the court he was a fascinating study and the potential remains. I will keep an eye on Dallas and see how this plays out. It will suck if he fulfills that potential. If Knicks succeed it won't matter. That's my hope.

Best case scenario in two years is knicks defeat Nets in conference championship and then play Dallas in the NBA finals!!!! Knicks win it in 6 at home on a Frank mid range jump shot at the buzzer, assisted from Mitch Robinson tip rebound on a missed Durant shot. Durant is series MVP.
Interviewed after the game Frank said one thing......"Rainman" then ran off to celebrate with his team. It is not known if he is a fan of the movie or a French acronym of some unknown origin.

KP that season second team ALL NBA leading Dallas to league best 62 games but wilted in championship round. He and Carlisle got into screaming match in game two loss at home where KP ignored the team plan and played hero ball with Knicks erasing a 15 pt 3rd quarter deficit with DSjr netting 12 pts in the quarter!
Luka was slowed by a twisted ankle and after a hot start Dallas fell apart. THjr was the hot hand early in the period leading dallas but KP was not "having it". Cuban was seen yelling at KP at the end of the game. When Janis stepped in and put a hand on Cube arena security were quick to move Janis to the exit.
In July KP was traded to the Bucks in complicated deal 4 team deal that sent Giannis to the Clippers. Because everyone wants to be a Clipper!!!
Janis has not been seen in weeks. Head of Security for the Mavs, Charles Oakley said: "Put a hand on cube, see what happens". League is looking into the matter but KP says Janis is home in Riga and won't be returning to the States for the foreseeable future.

In NY Harbor plans to build a statue the size of Ms. Liberty are being made for Durant.
China and USA are negotiating a tariff on Starbury. Trump says he is a national treasure. President Biden: "no comment".
Reported on CNBC Brothers Andrew and Martin are offered an all cash deal for 500million to sell the popular "Ultimate Knicks" website. Asked what are they doing next they replied: "We have bought JVG Honda Civic and will have it restored. We hope to present it to him soon. Asked about the gesture Mr van Gundy replied: I parked it there for a reason!!!! I don't want it returned.
A right wing blogger named "Briggs" whose disinterested site "UlitmateWhiteKnicks" is suing claiming he helped build the site and is due. Quoted on his Blog "I predicted the site would be a gold mine one day and I want my money!". Asked if any other thread participants got paid he responded: "GayRobot, TMS, Playa, Playa2, OrangeBlobman, Allanfan20, Nedyal, Nalod, LONGISLANDKnicks, Bip, Marv, DJ, Fishmike, and JRod all got paid!!!". When asked to verify he did not respond.

Around the time KP became disengaged with the team was when the team was supposedly notified about the rape accusations. My guess is the Knicks wanted nothing to do with it and did not support KP and he felt like they were hanging him out to dry. I think that was the final straw.

Honestly, it's a wait and see for me on this. Don't love the way it was handled on either side.

The Knicks had a GM that wasn't present, started a war with the teams best player, undermining guys through Charlie Rosen, coupled with the **** show that is Jim Dolan. They went all in on Rose and KP was not utilized properly. So we gave away a potential franchise player for peanuts.

Frankly, THJR was movable for Matthews and a team like Orlando would have taken Lee if we included Frank and a future 1.

Still hard to justify for Dennis Smith and a couple of late round draft selections.

Mitch, KP, KD, Barrett, and a veteran PG is a pretty solid team with Knox off the bench.

If your a fan of the Knicks you probably already know the reason KP wanted out. Take your blinders off and see the Knicks without any bias and you will find that. It’s an organization without direction. They don’t develop talent to the max. They shoot themselves in the foot every chance they get. And NY is just not a desirable a location as some make it out to be. The media is and has been hell for players to deal with. FA just don’t want any part of this especially if money is same everywhere else and better in other places due to tax.

I think the development is going great, we taught knox and a few others how to be aggressive..shoot first and ask questions later.

Being aggressive is a must. Getting talent is in hands of Karma.
Some believe the team and players need to deserve getting good one.
KP has all talent in the world but does he deserve success with Knicks or whoever?
So far the reality shows he is not. Injury, off-court issues, politics, selfish basketball.
Not a good Karma right there.
Knicks are in the same camp. To much crap accumulated for decades of megalomania, stupidity, and such.
Sometimes it takes many lifetimes to overcome this for human being and many seasons for bbal club.
Baby steps...

That's in the rear view mirror. Knicks by all accounts are getting good press and structurally sound.
Its not Blinders or fandom. At some point the dumb shyt ends and your left only with the residual of Noahs extended buy out. No more debts to pay.
7 first round picks and blue chip prospects.

There is no reason to not come here. I get its not a fit for all free agents. I know your traumatized by all that has gone on. Basically KP's problems ended when Phil and then Hornacek were exiled. If he did not want to be part of the rebuild then there is the answer.
Its common to return from injury then show what you got. His departure was weird.
