Exactly. The critics can say anything they want but the Knickds are doing the smart thing for a change. Past Gms would of not only signed KP but they would of traded every asset and draft pick we had for the next dacade for Davis. Yes KP and Davis are both very talented but they cant stay on the court either with their injury history. Knowing our luck they would both get hurt in the opener. Look I understand the Durant injury was obviously bad timing and bad luck but im still very Happy with what Perry has done. For years I have been screaming to build through the draft which we are and I dont want to give max deals to second tier free agents which we wont
Or every asset to get off Tim and Lee's deals. Two firsts to move Crabbe's one year deal. The Knicks would have paid a high price to move any salary.

True. The Nets do that and are praised lol. Look I give the nets credit they had a hell of a second half run and if they get Kyrie thats fine but im glad how we are building a team. No more panic moves.

KP play on the court will tell the story, not his off court antics or Janis.
What if we used the cap space to sign D’angelo? Be like we traded them and we get two first round picks too.
Both are all stars and just 23. I can live with that.

Knicks are very quiet. No noise is good.
I think. I hope. I don’t think we strike out. I have no idea what will happen.

KD does not want to come here by himself...so it is incumbent upon Ninja P, Mills, and Fiz to sell him on the vision of acquiring another star or sub star and the growth of the youngins...

I do not think he is going to LAC or BKN, I think it is us and GSW. If we can get him and they sell him on the development..aggressive development mind you and agressive moves I think it sways him...but the balance of power is shifting with AD and Bron...KD has to feel that when he is at 100% that he just slides into a 40-45 win middling team and turbo charges us....we can't be at 20-30 wins...otherwise he can stay in GSW is his thinking....

But I think he wants to give us every opportunity to give him a reason to sign.

The more I think about it, I think KD has/is only considering the knicks and wsrriors... about a month ago, most signs pointed towards Kyrie and KD signing with the Knicks. A month later, Kyrie all of a sudden wants to go to the nets. I think knick management put the word out to Kyries camp that they weren't interested, that's where the nets come into the picture. The moment Perry was hired, the knicks really emphasized culture, and watching what happened on Boston scared off knick brass...

KD is told about Kyrie, so he turns his attention to Leonard. KD wants Leonard in NY while Leonard wants KD in LA with the clips...its a power struggle but ultimately I think Leonard doesn't have much interest in NY. Ultimately, I think KD will go back the GS since the narrative has changed since the lost without him. Of course.he can still change his mind but those are my 2 pennies...

so holy crap. Lillard is going to be 29 soon and earn $30M and $31.5 over next 2 seasons and then at 31 start a 4 year contract that earns average of $49M per?

Wow, and they have to deal with CJs contract ending in two years. I can't imagine them keeping both those guys.
