I watched 4 pick up games that lasted a little over an hour. I saw rudy gay[was not overly impressed-actually reminds me of trevor ariza REAL skinny] the two guys that stood out were Josh Boone and Villanueva[i stood right next to everyone and both CV and Boone are close to 7 feet tall IMHO] Charlie may be a better practice/scrimmage type player than game player[ben gordon was the best college player i ever saw in scrimmages bar none, but that doesnt always equate to the games--likely why he was picked #3 because of the workouts] both of these guys are bigger in terms of musuclarity--I would guesstimate both are 6-10-6-11 and 245-250 pounds. Josh is going to be an NBA stud PF no doubt in my mind. Rashad Andersen looks so much like H2O in person it is scary. Uconn also has a new quick PG from NY named AJ price who was as quick as a snake--maybe 6-0 170 and i saw him dunk from one step over the foul line on a breakaway--has to have a 42-44 inch vertcial leap. The last two gus who stood out were the back up C Hilton Armstrong[also about 6-11 255 he has a real chance to be like a jamal magliore the way he plays if he continues development] and a balding transfer from GT named Ed Nelson who plays like Matt harpring[hes 6-8 255] Last year I saw vin baker not this year
overall Uconn looks pretty good--honestly they looked much bigger than the last time I saw the knicks at home when they still had spree thomas et al no real impact player though from the wing.

Yup, AJ Price is from Amityville, Long Island. My high school, Chaminade, had to play against him 2 years ago in the state championship and he dropped 50 points on us. He was teammates with Jason Fraser, the highly touted PF who went to Nova a few years ago.
UCONN looks scary again.

I went to Fordham. My wife went to Uconn for 6 years, so I have been going up there since the late 80's. Actually I walk right into Gampel which is wide open. Every time I go there are atleast 100-150 fans[alumnus?] sportswriters scouts students. My wife has lunch with her friends and I watch practice.
