Dont want to see both Mitch and Knox sent to NO, with the third pick.

Was for the Melo trade, thought we overpaid a bit, but thats what normally happens when you try to trade for an elite player in his prime. If we sent Mitch, Knox, Barrett(?) and some other good, young players. The talent level of the players we would be sending the other way this time, would be a good deal greater IMO. It would not only be overpaying, but a case could be made for calling it a quick fix.

Dont like the idea of flushing out all the team's young talent for what probably will be a brief run at a title. Two max slots should be the starting point for bringing in stars, not our recent draft picks. Im sure Perry/Mills really want to bring a title to NY, just hope they arent too locked in on Davis.

What? Why?

because it would be perceived as bad which is the only tune VMart sings. Also whoever we draft he can promise we wont develop properly. And we will over pay FAs. And if we do sign KD he will get hurt and Vmart will talk about signing guys past their prime... you can pretty much pretty predict every direction he'll go. Just think worst possible scenario and multiply that by 6

Because history repeats itself time and time and again with the Knicks. What player have they ever developed to his max potential? Since Patrick Ewing. You would literally have to go back to Charlie Ward. When I say it’s the inevitable. Even KP didn’t last and he is the best player they drafted since Ewing. You have nothing to hang your hat in that says he will around 10 years with the Knicks.
Being optimistic is really nice but have some optimism with a reality check this is the Knicks.

Just remember what the Celtics got Kyrie for:

A broken down IT
A good role player (Jae Crowder)
Ante Zizic
Bostons 2018 pick (no 8)

What a terrible haul! But just bear it in mind when pondering whether to include Mitch.

Also Sixers landed Jimmy Butler (another player who wanted out in the last year of their contract) for:

Bayless
Robert Covington
Dario Saric
2nd round pick

Also a poor return.

Hopefully Perry and Mills realise the era of the Melo trade package has been over for a while (Lakers unfortunately never got the memo)

To get the roster the Knicks want they have to gut the roster. They won't have the space to sign 3 max players unless they trade everyone. It would be incredibly short sighted to trade 5 young players away for 1 guy.
