he gaves us some flashes last season to whet our appetites but the one play that told me he could be a monster is when he was posting up kmart in the playoffs. he took too dribbles and literally back down kmart and pinned him under the basket. kmart couldn't do jack except wrap his arms around him and foul him and he's a premier frontcourt defender.

in a age when the PF position is changing to the longer, athletic, and quicker player, sweetney is a perfect counter with his natural strength and force causing MAJOR mismatches. man, if we could just get a quick defensive center...

he has the ability to become a MONSTER rebounder with at least 8 rebs a given every night. i believe he's ready to hit double digits scoring wise as well, not just on his moves, but mostly b/c he'll get such great position that he will get to the line at least 5-6 times a night.

it's WAYYYYYY EARLY and i'm WAAAAAAAYYYY PUMPED but just thinking with a cooler head, the skills and assets are there, and i for one don't think it will go to waste. look at him and how hard he's worked out. this guy has WIN-WIN written all over him.

So nice to hear a Knicks GM that answers questions from the media.Not the usual "we are happy with the team we have" crap and nothing else.Sweetney looks like he went on the subway diet!

We have alot of hungry players this year(no pun intended)that cant wait to get on the court.I have a feeling that are are going to surprise alot of teams.My top 3 teams Id especially like the Knicks to surprise:

1)Indiana
2)Minnesota
3)Detroit

Wish I could,especially if the Knicks city dancers are coming! I may be moving back to NY to go to school(again)not far from NYC in about a year so I might catch the next one if you guys reunite once more.Maybe we can all get together and ball!

I love reading Isiah's interviews. He gets me psyched and I havcent been psyched about the Knicks since before the 99-00 season.

On another note, there were times where Sweetney would do some crazy low post moves, that were very smooth and showed alot of strength. I think he has the potential to be a special player, and he seems like he has alot of work ethic. I dont see why he cant be a top 15 PF in this league this year.

Plus he's thinner therefore he MUST be better (sorry, a sarcastic social commentary that might not come through). But yeah, thinner, more athletic, more game.

This is so true man. He really sounds so ethused in his interviews people can feed off of it. I am very very excited about this season too.

one thing I noticed about sweetney is that he was pretty quick for a guy his size anyway, he made some nice steals and took it coast to coast on a couple of occasions and made some quick moves around the hoop, now that he is in better shape I am really excited to see how he blossoms..

This pic looks AWESOME if you set it to your desktop background and then stretch it to the size of your screen. Sweetney looks about 55 feet tall and 43,000 pounds of muscle
