Didn’t see this posted so here it is:

Report: Mavericks Trade Harrison Barnes Mid-Game to Kings for Justin Jackson and Zach Randolph

The Dallas Mavericks have traded forward Harrison Barnes to the Sacremento Kings for Justin Jackson and Zach Randolph, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Wednesday.

According to Wojnarowski, the Kings want to sign Barnes to a long-term deal. Barnes has a player-option on his $25 million deal for the 2019-2020 season.

Barnes was traded while he was in the midst of the Mavericks' game against the Hornets.

Lakers star LeBron James reacted to Barnes being traded mid-game.

In his third season in Dallas, Barnes is averaging 17.8 points, 1.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game. Barnes spent four seasons with the Golden State Warriors before joining the Mavericks in 2016.

Jackson is averaging 6.7 points, 1.3 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game in his second year with the Kings, while Randolph averaged 14.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game last season and was never activated this year.

I thought he'd end up being dealt to the Kings, but I'm surprised at how little the Kings had to give up- thought they might have to cough up one of their back up PG's or WCS or something. Wonder who Dallas will target in free agency with the cap space opened up- seem to remember a report that they were after Vucevic

Looks like it was easier to move guys than we thought.

Have to wonder if we could have just exchanged Frank and Lee to the Kings and sent Hardaway to the Mavs.

Harrison Barnes and Otto Porter are more highly thought of than any of those guys. You honestly don't think Perry explored every possibility to move Lee and Hardaway?

STein said that the Knicks were looking at a deal to send FRank and Lee to the Magic but that changed after KP asked for a meeting and met with Perry/Mills. KP had to be traded. The Knicks found a trade that checked all of the boxes for them.

I would have held back lee and tried to include kanter(not saying they didn't) then traded lee and frank to the magic.

I hope they trade frank for J Issac

The Knicks had Hardaway for Matthews on the table and ready to go.

You think they couldn’t have called the Suns and sent them Lee and Frank? With all the movement out there it certainly looks like they may have have been other deals out there.

Hindsight is 20/20
KP forced the knicks’ hand and luckily they had a deal lined up to have this addressed without the drama that comes with dealing a star

In a perfect world we would’ve traded Hardaway for Matthews
Frank and lee to suns/Orlando
Cleared up all cap still
And then traded KP to the lakers or Celtics for their assets

But perfect is the enemy of good
We are in a good spot now with an empty cap and a full stock of draft picks
