a better non linear way to look at odds is this chart:
http://www.tankathon.com/pick_odds
Look at the odds. They did not change over the course of the season and if we cheered the tank it was to keep from potentially falling further. I hate that we finally resigned to suck it up and not starphuch our way from the bottom this year where we had the odds but over all its a good rule for the league and prevents what Philly did a couple of seasons back. Bottom line is we pick top 5. A team like dallas actually has a 9% chance of getting the top pick. We likely won't be the top pick and others will jump. That's the reality staring at us for months now. How you choose deal with his is a personal issue.. |

We end up with the #5 pick which Knicks will probably look at SF/PF depending on how they view Knox as either a SF or PF. As in a Reddish, Culver, or Clarke taking over for Lance and Herzonia. Then miss out on all top FAs. They probably would resign Mudiay as backup PG unless they prefer Allen. Dotson and Trier will make up the SG spots. Frank if not traded will get one last look at SF. They will then maybe carry over the cap for next yr or eat a one year deal looking for a situation like Jabari Parker or a Barnes type situation. With the possibility of them slightly panicking after having such a terrible season and make a starphuch trade after the media tears them apart. https://vote.nba.com/en Vote for your Knicks.

But after this season, if the team starts next season looking like another top 5 lotto team.... We followed the team long enough to forecast the level of venom coming the Knicks way. They have been let off the hook this season due to the idea of Zion and Durant etc. Public isn't gonna be motivated for another year of those type of hopes. But Perry can possibly give the public enough to hold them at bay. While not sacrificing to much of the future. That's where that Barnes level trade would come into play for one of the future draft picks. Sell a proven producer with Smith, Mitch, Knox, Dotson, Trier development etc. If that can get them to a mediocre level then they can sell they are on the rise. https://vote.nba.com/en Vote for your Knicks.
