After connecting on eight three-pointers against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday night, Lopez improved his average to 3.0 treys per game. Last season, Chicago Bulls rookie big man Lauri Markkanen became the only 7-footer to ever make at least 2.0 threes per game over the course of a season.

Dallas Mavericks veteran Dirk Nowitzki held the previous record with 1.9 threes per game in 2002-03. Through 13 games, Lopez has taken 108 total field goal attempts and an absurd 77.5 percent of those looks have come from three-point range.

dewayne casey, Budenholzer, and steve Clifford are showing they know how to coach. Essentially same team as predecessor but much better results

Good choices for teams wanting to get to the next level. Nurse in Toronto is doing a hell of a job. same core but the biggest piece with Kawhi. Im impressed with Detroit. Fans laughed at the trade they made to land Griff. Not sure about that crowd but the record is a big improvement. He is playing up to his contract at the moment.

it was a bad trade at the time

Casey has him handling the ball a lot more, something he's pretty good at. It draws doubles and he's a good enough passer to pass out of that. Coach is exploiting his strengths to the max. He did something similar with Demarr. Demarr has a lot of midrange to his game (modern NBA frowns on that), but he was also very good at drawing fouls (modern NBA smiles)

Anyway I think they're all doing great jobs and I should have mentioned Nurse too

Deals like this will be available when Lee is an expiring. Unfortunately, we need to move him ASAP!!!

Fuck that noise.

Nearly all large scale discussion forums on the Net, unless it's about politics specifically, bar political discussion from their main areas.

You don't want to hear Briggs' views on politics? Whatever they may end up being or whether you agree or not? Then don't give them a pathway to get in the main discussion area.

When you open up that can of worms, opening up political discussion in a general area not designed for political discussion, then you are saying you want a polarizing type interaction likely to piss people off. Saying this kind of talk is cool but that kind of talk is not cool, makes no sense once you open up said can of worms.

I think Briggs is one of the dumbest people alive when it comes to understanding how basketball actually works. But what did anyone think was going to happen. Many people, mostly silently, said the same **** when Congress decided to let Reggie White address them. Saying some of the most off the wall **** anyone has heard. What did they think they were going to get? What qualified Reggie White to address Congress? I loved Reggie, but even I knew that **** would go sideways. But THEY ASKED FOR IT. They GAVE HIM A PATHWAY TO SAY STUPID SHIT.

And before someone turns mealy mouth on this, things like how a cities finances work in terms of building a new arena or when a player gets caught in the legal system, these things extend within the sports culture and how a team functions or not. But we aren't talking about that are we?

If you want to call Briggs an *******, fine. He probably is an *******. Then again, I am a gigantic ****ing ******* too. But if you want to blame him for having a pathway to say his ****, then you are gonna run into some problems. There's an off topic section for a reason. And Yes, if this Andrew guy came to me and said, hey dude, chill on the NBA players are like women who are ****ed up examples, I'd be sure, that's cool, done. I would just use examples about midgets instead.

This place is better without Briggs' political discussion here, but it's not a better place without him here period. He loved this team to the bone. That's all anyone needs here to have in common. Or should.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here. And Happy Turkey Day to you too Briggs. And Briggs, if you are really a midget, the irony would be sort of delicious.

Briggs was like a chick with STD, eventually when the mouth sores were oozing pus nobody wanted her anymore.
Nobody is taking his knick love away and nobody said we can’t talk politics. Personally I largely refrain to do so online. I’m not changing anyone’s mind.

Years ago we talked racial issues that had come up and found the exchange to be very informative as we had some extensive educated contributions and I learned a lot.
No site will benefit from false facts promoted from an unglued place.

Bring was like a porn actress who stated she wasn't doing interracial anymore, even though here best performances were interracial. She might've a few more fans on the fring, but she alienated a big part of her fan base and the majority of porn fans don't want to f*#k with her any more.
We all have choices to make and consequences to deal with.

Wow. that's know kind of a deep analogy. No pun intended

The title and success kept him there for 13 years. That's a hell of a run he had and he was paid well!!!
Did he forget how to coach? Doubt it. Did he lose his team? Likely. It happens. Did Rodgers lose confidence in him? Could be.
Fred never had the talent to succeed. Issues they say was with his leadership. My issue is Paxon and Forman are the problem. I don't follow them enough to really comment as to what is their problem. Rumor is Glen Taylor loves the guy and might bring him to Minny. LOL. Thibs must be heading to Philly next year? Follow Butler anywhere? LOL.
There is no correlation between Fred and Fiz.
The Rebuild does not guarantee anything but 25 games in your still pretty safe.

I did not know where to place this but Since Carmelo is no longer a Knicks I think this might be the best place. I came accross this video and I think he did a very nice job on Melo's career.

Objectives of Melo and agencies behind him always were to build a successful brand and make as much money as possible.
I think in this respect Melo is one of the most successful player of all times.
Greatness is rare and required to many sacrifices to be profitable.
It also required very special personality. Melo never was ready for any of this.
Jordan and LeBron are the only 2 GOATs who were able to combine winning and long lasting financial success.
Many players had the physical tools but few had mental straight and relentless willing to win.

This video has a lot of information I was not aware of. The most interesting thing to me is that Melo was the reason why Jeff Bzdelik was fired. I remembered hearing that name recently and it turns out that same Jeff Bzdelik is the defensive guru that helped the Rockets defend well last season. Coincidentally when the Rockets signed Melo he left the team stating family issues. This season when he was rumored to come back it happened right after Melo was released. This could be one big coincidence or it could be karma coming back to get Melo on his possible last shot at playing in the NBA.

Thanks. I didn’t appreciate the connection before.

NBA has a ref problem

Orlando absolutely robbed by refs. Orl didn’t get a single free throw until 4th

30 something to 8 spread. Lots of bad calls.

In a fair world someone would get fired or at least suspended

Nets lose to OKC. They have a worse record then the Knicks now. Total collapse in the fourth by the Nets.

Thats what losing teams do, develop bad habits.

we have made some strong comebacks this season, most have failed because good teams don't get rattle when the momentum switches. Bad teams(with decent leads) panic, start playing conservative like your playing not to lose instead of continue to apply pressure, make bad passes, take bad shots, turn the ball over..
