Age is both relevant and irrelevant.
Under 25 and less than three years of actual healthy rotation minutes in the NBA, then the ceiling is still in flux.
At or above 25 with less than three years of actual healthy rotation minutes in the NBA, then the floor is still in flux.
It matters less than Frank N is 20 than the issue that he's only spent one year in the league. If he got into the league at just turned 18 and on the edge of being 21, then that might be different. Rare, but you can be 20 and have your prime developmental window close on you.
Lots of people point out that Burke or Kanter are only X age. Sure, if you want to be an accountant. In the NBA, after your third year, barring major injuries or just no playing time, you are going to show what you will likely be the rest of your career.
Knicks1248 doesn't want to wait 2 more years to be sure of what Frank N could be. Now 1248 could be right two years from now and be vindicated. But the issue is I don't think 1248 actually understands that it would take a couple of more years to be sure.
I don't think some of you guys see he's trolling you.
I don't think I say anything regarding frank that isn't painfully obvious, he's not a good or even decent offensive player.
For 4 yrs prior to playing in the NBA, he was taught system basketball, Frank is a system player, brought here to run a system, and plays like it. He jogs the ball up, goes to the left, hands it off and runs to his spot, if the first pass isn't there, he'll set up a P/R.
Now you want him to run and play free wheeling basketball, that's like telling Shaq or D Howard (when they came in the league) to shoot more 3's and 18 foot jump shots...Good luck with that.
Fiz has already said I'm going to let him be him (that's how I feel) and live with it "IF" it's helping us win
If we're not progressing as a team, and his improvement is little to none, then he'll probably end up like mudiay (getting traded) or Mario and Vonleh (going somewhere for a better fit)
