Enes Kanter
Joakim Noah
Tim Hardaway Jr.
Courtney Lee
Lance Thomas
Mario Hezonja
Kristaps Porzingis
Ron Baker
Emmanuel Mudiay
Frank Ntilikina
Kevin Knox
Trey Burke
Noah Vonleh
Luke Kornet
Mitchell Robinson
Damyean Dotson
Kadeem Allen
Isaiah Hicks
Allonzo Trier

Cut Noah...Cut Kadeem Allen...send Isaiah Hicks to G-League, send Mudiay to G-League
That brings it down to 15 right?

I don't think I fully understand how it works, or if what I am suggesting is possible.

Mudiay looks like he lost a lot of confidence when Denver gave up on him. I mean benefitted struggled there but at least showed more than he has here. I didnt think he had a future here anyway but i didnt think it could possibily end this early. With Trier looking great it doesnt look good for mudiay

Mudiay doesnt defend, isnt a spacer with his shooting and isnt a very good PG. He's got to show a LOT more. Trier could be a longer term piece. Unless he shows things he hasnt up until now I have no interest in resigning Mudiay. Worth a look over McBuckets (who also wasnt getting resigned) but Trier looks like a player

I dont see someone with a love for the game. Hard to tell from a distance though. When he got out of shape. sitting on the bench in Denver. Instead of getting in better shape, and fighting to get his job back, he took the opposite approach. Needs to show more than weight loss.

Id cut him, but I wouldnt be against Mudiay being sent to G-League, if this is the best we're going to see. They do a good job developing players.

Baker useful? really? who knew, 81 games over 2 seasons at 15.3 mpg is useful. He's a scrub with no ceiling. I'd rather keep the scrub who has a ceiling.

I don't think that will happen either... I just think keeping the spot open for a guy that could pan out like Burke or Beasley makes more sense to me

Baker is going to get hurt again, he plays too wild and reckless and it's easy to see how is shoulder is was injured, he really takes scrappy to new levels.

He's the reason Lee is out with a neck strain right now. If there wasn't any better options i would say keep him, but we have a few more talented guys at his position that can contribute much more than he does.

Why? Mudiay will never help you win games or get better. Baker challenges guys defensively in practice. Baker plays excellent defense, and when he hits the 3 he's an excellent 3&D player who is also a secondary ball handler. A 3&D guy who gives you quality play off the bench for 15 minutes is much more useful to me than a guy who blows assignment and plays stupid. If Mudiay earns a spot Ill change my tune, but he's been awful. Baker could have a roll and should challenge guys like Trier and Dotson for minutes.

Mudiay's BB IQ is cringe worthy

What games has Baker helped us win?

Baker is NOT an excellent 3 and D player. He sucks offensively. Defensively, he tries hard but he isn't particularly good at that either. Last year, Adnre Drummond led the league in defensive win shares at 5.73. Baker had what? 4? 2? No, he had 0.4. Baker needs to be active defensively because he doesn't have physical gifts (like Frank). But activity does not equal greatness at defense.

Baker is a scrub, who fit a system. He was signed as a system player. No thank you. I don't want Baker taking minutes from any of our points. I don't want him taking minutes from any of our shooting guards. He freaking stinks.

You want to also cut Mudiay? Fine... no problems there. I'm no fan. But Baker has no value other than being an expiring contract.

Baker had DBPM of .9 and Vorp of .01, which is good enough for a non rotation guy. Mudiay's numbers look bad no matter what angle you view them from. In a perfect world, Baker isn't really taking minutes away from anyone, unless they are dogging it on a given night. Now Mudiay...I won't go crazy after a couple of preseason games, but he needs to pick it up. Maybe he needs to be played off-ball? I'm getting to the point where I don't want to see him taking from any of our guards.

Just look at the "what the f**k do I do?" look on Frank's face. The guy is clueless. Cut him.

But we won't. A first round pick for some reason is sacred. N'Dour, Ike Diogu...two guys who are Hall Of Famers compared to Frank The Frenchman and those two were waived. But we will keep Frank The Frog.

Oh, but Frank actually stripped the ball from James Harden! Wow! Let's hang his jersey from the rafters at The Garden!

Trier should be on the team, Frank should go back to France. I said it. You all are just afraid to say it.

what is the count we need?

https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2018/08/201819-nba-roster-counts.html

I know they changed things up - 15 with 2 two way contracts - that is 17.

I think the challenge we have is players like Trier are on the two way deal, and we will probably want them on the 15 man at some point.

Mudiay is frustrating. I look at him, and he seems to have the build/movement of an NBA player.

He's shown flashes - with some great passes.

But I haven't really seen any improvement from him.

I think he'll stick in the league. Maybe he needs a path forward like Trey Burke.

He is JUST 22. He needed college.

I fully agree with that. Both should go.
I am looking everywhere for a way to change my user name from FireHornacek to FireFizdale.

Baker is more useful in practice and on the bench though. He works hard and sets an example for the young guys. He's tough and gets after it in practice defensively. Mudiay does none of that for his empty potential. Keep the guy as 15th man that does the little things.
