Mine:

Kanter
Super mario
Knox
Thjr
Frank

I could see Burke getting the nod over frank but why? First preseason game should be about the youth.

No lance please or Lee both players are vets and don’t need the time. Same with Kanter let him start but Mitch rob should get more minutes

Okay, just for the preseason:

Kanter
Mario
Knox
Dotson
Burke

Timmy and Frank need wake ups. If not Dot, then Trier. Frank still isn't decisive with the ball on offense. THJ is just unrepentant in his shot selection and accuracy. Maybe another stint in the G League?

You make Burke sound like he's close to doing promos for the AARP, lol. About to turn 26, entering his prime, and maybe starting to figure things out.

Id rather Knox came off the bench. More important that he's playing in the 4th, learning to finish.

Would prefer Mario at the 3, but Im not sure who is up for starting PF right now. Maybe preseason will give us a better idea.

Frank would be better used to spell THJ, IMO, and bring Mudiay off the bench as a PG. They've been working on playing as a tandem since last season. Might be the makings of a good backcourt. Wont know till we see them play.

Mario looked big to me at the open scrimmage. Fiz’s, philosophy is no position basketball, the way the nba is going he’s a stretch 4 regardless like you said not many options either..

like KP I think Knox should start from day one I think it will really help with his confidence.he is a super talent!

I like Burke but the kid screams 6th man offensive fire power off the bench, he could really take command of a weak second unit.

I like franks defense to set the tone early in games, with that said I also like the backcourt of Burke and frank...

Timmy looked aweful on both ends of the scrimmage but then again it is just a scrimmage and frank looked like he got hurt so I wonder if he will even play.

A bulkier Thomas has wowed Fizdale with his defense and leadership. Trey Burke will start at point guard alongside Tim Hardaway Jr. in the backcourt. As expected, rookie Kevin Knox will begin the game at small forward and Enes Kanter at center

https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/basketball/news/knicks-lance-thomas-opening-preseason-in-starting-role/

Thomas will start at power forward in Monday's preseason opener against the Wizards, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.

Thomas will be competing with the likes of Mario Hezonja and Kevin Knox for the top job throughout camp. According to Chris Iseman of The Record, head coach David Fizdale said Thomas will get the first shot due to his leadership and because he wants to see how Thomas fits into his specific system. It seems likely the lineups will continue to change throughout the preseason to see what the best combination will ultimately be, so continue to monitor the position battle up until a final lineup is confirmed prior to the regular season.

Trey over Frankie. Interesting, given all the hype they've been giving to Fizdale's affinity for length...

Will be interesting to see who comes first off the bench at PG...

I like his starting 5. I don't mind if Knox eventually comes off the bench- no reason to rush him so he hits the rookie wall in December. Bring him along slowly.

Yes, definitely interesting to see if his love for defense translates to actual decisions or if it's just window dressing.

i wouldnt put too much stock in it. Fiz said he is gonna give them all a chance. Honestly in the 4th quarter frank is gonna play because his defense alone. But im excited to see how his offense has progressed

Kanter
Mario
Lance Thomoas
THjr
Frank

If Lance can hit that outside shot He will start at PF. In 15-20 games Knox could replace him if he can stay reasonable on defense.
Timmy and Frank I think have a good chemistry.
Im just guessing. Lance has the size and the vet thing. At the same time he'd be more valuable with yoots. Perhaps Knox starts over Mario?
Its who finishes that counts.
Fiz has to get minutes to Mudiaye and see what he has.

Fiz did refer to the second unit as Ntilikina's group in the post game. Not sure what will happen but I think Burke is the starter. I have only seen highlights, the last 3 mins and ot so I need to watch the game to have a stronger opinion.

For me its more important who plays in close games in the 4th. Frank was already doing that last year. I did propose pairing burke and frank up a bit too.

Watching the game now and it is half way through the third quarter. Frank has looked much more aggressive then last year.

Yes. Its still a work in progress but thats ok. Thats why this year is important no matter what. Fiz is gonna let them play through mistakes.
