But what if we drafted him with a second first round pick? It was rumored that both the Wizards and Bucks were willing to unload their picks (15th and 17th respectively) to dump salary (Matthew Delladova specifically with the Bucks) in exchange for a productive veteran. From that position and with the 36th pick, it might've been possible to trade up to get Michael Porter Jr. After all, the Clippers, Hornets and Sixers- teams with selecting 10th to 13th- ALL made trades involving their picks, so it's not like we couldn't have entered a bidding war.

I wonder what a healthy Porter Jr and Kevin Knox would look like together on the floor. I, personally, would not have been opposed to take the wait-and-see approach with MPJr considering our need to get a good pick in 2019. And with the dividends the Sixers are reeping from being patient with Embiid,it might not have been a bad strategy in the grand scheme of things if we could've still taken Knox.

Definitely would have considered him with #36... even would have used the money we can use to buy picks to take a chance on him in the low 30s.

Have bad vibes about his body breaking down, though.

He will have a good period of time to rebuild his body...maybe he re-sculpts himself with his recovery time.

Porter went 14th. Why are you talking about him going in the 30s?

He fouls at an exceptionally high rate and routinely seemed to make boneheaded decisions that don't necessarily get quantified. It feels a little like Javale McGee/Dwight Howard to me.
I don't know what to say about this post. If we got Dwight Howard with the 36th pick in the draft Scott Perry should be the executive of the year.

He seems like a solid pick at 36th, which I'm not disputing (at least not anymore). But people are talking about him being better than players picked in the top 4 of this past draft. That's way beyond where I'd draw the line.

And I was comparing him to Dwight Howard today, not at his peak.

Even Dwight today, that's a great pick. 17 ppg, 13 reb, 2 blocks from a 2nd round pick wouldn't be an off the chain great pick? Look at the careers of everyone picked in the 2nd round three-four years from now and see how many amount to anything.

I have no idea if he ends up being better than anyone picked in the top 4. I think folks put too much stock in summer league results both positive and negative. All I'm looking for are flashes and Robinson showed enough flashes for me to be very encouraged.
