Yea yea

We all know its about 2019/20 FA,

But when are we going to pursue and work the system to get young stud to run this team & lead ? ? ? ?
Some NBAer star whom want to be in The Mecca & play with KP and hopefully a developing Kevin Knox.

We hope management plans early without putting their eggs into 1 flipping basket.
You ALL recall ? when Reggie Miller still young but established "used" the Knicks to drive up his value. No more of that crap!

Alot of folks here in NY don't like the R.Westbrook types and so forth, FA after 2019.

Always a possibility P.George & Westbrook duo don't work out 2019-2022.
So NY needs to at least be a player to pursue either George Or Westbrook down the road.

<WESTBROOK & GEORGE, celebrate Paul return OKC 2yrs $>

Talent like Kyrie "Wants" New York and Knicks work hard enough prior to 2019 summer Then that's what I'm talking about.
If Kyrie is making $$ but going to be second fiddle to Tatum, its worth watching. Why? would Kryie's agent let it out
on interests in NY knicks & teams.

We need a Guard, whether PG OR SG, G
We need leader(s) in talent and folks Whom Flipping want to be in NEW York City Knicksville to live a dream of turning around a recent dreadful NBA franchise and show their stuff, development, sacrifice & playing for something special for BEST Fans in Hoops world, NY Knickerbocker fans.

We need a Homerun OR Grandslam player next year period, since we ain't drafting any Or lucky to get a #1 pick again
Many of us will have to live many many moons before the "rabbits foot" falls Knickerbocker franchise way.

NBA has players on the move (7/2) Knicks may even have to pursue trades to move up in draft 2019 Or acquire extra picks in that draft
Talent wins Right ? I know. We got to act like the other teams & Go after youth and a Star.

I aint interested nor like Kevin Durant , FA 2019. Durant likely to get Warriors to fix his demand next yr.(extra year 2019)
But ?? ya know what? guess what if he ever became Knick property in 2019 ($$$$$) and came here which I cant see
I'd love MR. Durant, then. For know I got no use for KD !

So free agents stars... future in 2019.
Knicks brass, Don't be the "cheap be-hind" Jeff & Fred Wilpon's NYMets, do not Never try to emulate success of other franchises in NBA
treat the BEST like they are worth it $$$$ At least if NY Media sees that Knicks will get credit for $$trying$$ to get Stars talent in NY

In the "modern" era of the NBA, only a few free agents have changed the actual trajectory of their destination franchise

LeBron James to the Heat ( technically a Sign and Trade)
Shaq to the Lakers ( To the Heat was a trade)
Steve Nash to the Suns
LeBron James back to the Cavs

The Warriors were contenders already without Kevin Durant.

No one expected Steve Nash to be the Suns version of Steve Nash. Not even close.

The odds of landing a franchise level player who can change the direction of a franchise is infinitely rare. In a few other rare instances ( Grant Hill and Tracy McGrady to the Magic), the team tried but was derailed.

FAs who are Tier 1 targets will choose max money, max years and best opportunity to win. The Knicks are nowhere close to contention level, even with a Tier 1 free agent.

You are suggesting the Knicks do something that is statistically unlikely in the history of NBA trades, free agency and how players tend to move from team to team.

The other issue is major shoe/apparel brands have massive influence on NBA players.

Try to find an actual market based reason(s) why a Tier 1 free agent would choose the Knicks over other options in line with how free agents have historically behaved. One of Nike's main headquarters is in Seattle. If Seattle got another team, based on how Stern tried to strong arm them before, this would be a strong reason why a Tier 1 free agent might look at a new Sonics team. That's an actual reason that has some market basis behind it. Your reasoning makes literally no sense.
