![]() I don't think it can be done, but we should absolutely have the chance to add someone like Giannis in 2021.

The more I think about it we may be forced to go all in even if it means trading away firsts to get rid of Noah and Hardaway. If that means having a team like this This team couldn't get past the Celtics and probably not even Philly. If Kawhi gets injured (check his games played here) https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/l/leonaka01.html then it's a first round exit. We have to be patient, we're at the beginning of our Process. So another 3-5 years to accumulate assets, draft well, and at the end of it we can try to target Free Agents with cap space to bring us over the top. Rose is not the answer.

Seems there was a thread on realgm about this is January: https://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=1512694 So really the only contract we need to shift this season is Lee, and I think we can get to max space even if we don't manage to do that. |

If that means having a team like this yeah i disagree, this team could beat them both depending on the type of player we get in the draft this year. This doesn't include the vet help we could get for the vet min either. I think we could get at least 1 more legitimate rotation player to jump on. I would go one way or the other though. Either go hard and try to get 2 FA's or continue to draft young players and stay flexible. I just hope Porzingis doesn't leave. I wouldn't sign Kyrie and stop there that team is a middling team going nowhere that can't compete. If that means having a team like this The Knicks have to resist trying to go too far too fast. That recipe leads to signing big names who come here and nest. Better steady progress with a youth corp who are supplemented not by MAX free agents but by well-paid, under-appreciated talents looking to prove their worth. |
