The Ringer just completed their 2nd mock draft and have us taking MPJr with our pick.
Sign me up for that right now. And it makes perfectly good sense. There are 9 players in this draft who appear to be above the rest. 8 of them are healthy without question and the one with some health doubts is MPJr. It makes sense that he falls to us. We need to take him and give him plenty of time to heal so that we get one more high pick next year. And then the sky's the limit!

MPJr
Frank
RJ Barrett
Jarred Vanderbilt

bunch of dudes projecting stuff. They might be as good or bad as anyone.
Logic of Porter is based on starphuch obsessed MSG. Not sure if its a sound decision. Kid has not really done much in college and if he falls its for medical reasons.
Im not a Dr, so how can Nalod really object or endorse?

Would not touch him with a 10 foot pole without seeing a recent and thorough physical or having our own doctors look at him.

Any recent info on him providing (or not providing) teams with a "doctor's note?"

A bunch of mocks have Porter going to the Cavs, have a hard time buying that. If LeBron leaves (looking that way) they're going to need a player who is dynamic (and healthy) enough to help them forget about LeBron leaving. Porter is a big maybe in that dept. If he were 100 percent, and showing it. That would change things some.

Not sure Mills/Perry want to go all in on Porter, the way Layden did with McDyess. Understand its not exactly the same situation. Its similar in that there is a lot riding on a player recovering from a serious injury.

Are the Knicks working him out? Have they already?

Would we be happy with a Danilo Gallinari at 9?

I say pass, we really need to get this pick right.

Rose is not the answer.

I dont know, i think i would be happy with Gallinari 2.0 @ 9. Not thrilled, but we could do far worse.

I felt we were building something nice with chandler and gallo et al.

We were building Melogate...
Singular pick, or trade, or signing means nothing out of context of team build plan...
Of course if team has any.
May be we have one in 20 years for a change.

I agree. I think any of the hyped talent who are slated to be picked higher, who slide, are high risk. I think there's a lot of busts in this year's top ten.

I would actually be more comfortable either picking higher or lower by moving the #9 pick if Mykey Bridges is unavailable.

Young, Porter, Sexton, Miles all look like projects, IMO and not in a good way.
