seems to have the gift of gab.
Not only does he know what to say, he knows how to say it.
When has KP said that about anyone in this organization other than Melo.
No choice in this situation for Zinger.
Fizdale is going to be here for 2-3 years at minimum. The worst case scenario is 3 seasons. First year is always a "honeymoon" season for any new coach. Plus Fizdale has pedigree and experience and some positive track record behind him. These 2-3 years will cover Zingers injury phase and his quest to get a max possible extension offer. Or raise his value enough so when he walks, he will have best options available to him in the marketplace.
Knicks would have already talked to Zinger before they hired anyone. Insane not to as such and repeat more conflict that no one wants.
Zinger is a narcissist. Most NBA player are to be honest. So it's all about him, all the time. Fizdale is a means to an end for that best option for free agency and/or a max deal possible. Everyone gives a new coach a ton of "love" early on, costs them nothing, and it's a better position to be in if things work out for said coach.
99 percent of the time, what's said in the sports media is canned, packaged and planned out extensively.
If you don't show up to your exit meeting, you don't respect anyone, including yourself. So anything he says about Fizdale or anyone is all buzz and noise to me.
Knicks should trade him first chance they get.
I haven't given up in KP yet, because I always prefer homegrown talent. But I also think some of this is true. KP has shown distinct lack of maturity and inclination towards self obsession. Having a two bit piece of **** to look up to during your formative years in the NBA is always a problem. But with a positive environment and a focus on organic growth instead of stupid playoff exits and "All Star" games, he may be able turn in the right direction.
I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only try to make them think - Socrates
