Would you pick Chris Child's of now, over Shandon Anderson? Ugh, Anderson is so terrible.

What do you mean Childs of now? Childs is hurt, over weight and likely retired.

If you talking about Childs that was on the Knicks there is no question......Chris Childs was a Knick.....ask Kobe.

Shandon Anderson never did anything to prove he deserves the title of being called a Knick.....he's on the Knicks but dude ain't a Knick.

Childs sucked also. One of Grunfelds worst moves. (Could have had tim hardaway instead) Childs asked not to start games , felt there was too much pressure- give me a break. As far as I'm concerned its a tie.

Say what you guys want about Childs....he had heart.

He never lived up to his contract but he played good defense and in spurts he was great offensively. He was also a clutch three point shooter.

I think if he got with a team that was more uptempo he would have had a better career. Childs was good at pushing the ball.

Like I said Childs was a Knick.......

Shandon tries? So do I but if I was 6'6" I would be a better option on the court than him. Shandon is a situational player not someone that should be playing alot.....Shandon needs get on a team and try 15 mins a game like he did in Utah.....he is wack.

That's a very accurate statement. It is exactly what I think of Shandon. No one talks about him that much anyways, there is nothing special about him except being the most overpaid overrated role player with overrated basketball skills if at all. My stomach feels like it is stabbed by a handful of knives at the thought of watching him play again.

Chris Childs...bless him, he was a true Knicks that played with heart.

i think the reason were arguing this is because shandon is fresh in our minds. childs has'nt been a knick in a coons age. now i'm not saying this just because i hated childs, ('cause i did'nt ), i'm saying this because we may have forgoten about the fact that childs used to cry like a baby when his team was'nt playing well, or he did'nt get a call, or whenEVER he got a call agianst him. imagine playing w/someone like that. i still have his "i can't believe you called that" look freshly in my mind. looked like he smelled something funny. shandon at least plays good D.(or as good as shandon can).

childs 15pt game against the Heat in game 5 where he played great in the 4th quarter and was the reason we won the series

now what has Shandon accomplished exactly? oh yeah shooting 2-9 virtually every game in the playoffs against the Nets

Childs, w/o a doubt. Childs never tried? He tried, but he just wasn't very bright. That's what his problem waa. But he played with a lot of heart, he was clutch, he was good at blending in with the offense, and his defense was nice and solid. He did some good things for us, and I think trading him for Mark Jackson was stupid. At the time, I thought it was OK, but changed my mind instantly, when I saw how slow Jackson was.

Anderson brings energy, and that's about it. No shot, no skills. OK at driving it to the hoop, but he turns it over just as many times. Good defense, but he crosses that out with his stupid TOs. He thinks he's a playmaker or point foward type player, but he isn't. Allan Houston is better off taking it up the court than Anderson, and that says a lot, b/c Houston isn't so great doing that.

as true as everyones comments are, mark jackson abused childs and ward for many years but wasnt able to be as dominant in the past because the year we got him i think the zones were changed. and i do agree i liked childs more than jackson and he did great as a knick

The lul before training. Players getting arrested, no activity, and fans just plain bored.

How about "Shandon VS. Hitler"?

I'd take Shandon any day. Hitler has no run at all!

What ever happend to the "Hitler" family name? I mean no body has that last name! Or at least use's it. Imagine " 6'6 guard for the University of North Carolina, JOHHHHHHHHHHHHny "Hitman" Hittttttttler!

Neither can I!

Shandon's most memorable moment was dunking over Gerald Wallace on a fastbreak during a regular season game in a year when the Knicks were a horrible team.

Chris Childs' most memorable moment for me (other than when he punched Kobe Bryant of course) was when he hit huge clutch shots down the stretch in a playoff game vs. the Heat, our biggest rival at the time.

how exactly is this a contest? i'd take Childs in a heartbeat over Shandon Anderson...i don't care how much he whined about calls or referee's...he at least played with heart, determination & toughness, all the things that every Knick fan loves to see in our players.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
