What’s the plan here? Are we going to call everyone back in after we hire a new coach, or are we having assistants develop the offseason program with input from the front office? Coachless Knicks have gone silent this year.

We still have our player development department in place, so off season player schedules should be fine. The coach search is going pretty quickly, so I don't see too much of a setback. I'm sure the new coach will reach out to players when he's hired. As far as the draft, it all comes down to our scouting department anyway.

Just JH and Rambis are gone. All other coaches are still there, Bliss, Gaines, Eisley......
Craig Robinson is the development guy. The culture is there. New coach will refine it but they come and go too.
If its not broadcasted, does not mean it did not happen.

Frank: Go take 1000 jumpers, get an apt in the city and play street ball.
Baker: Don't lift too many weight, forgets kids books, eat more meat.
KOQ: stay in touch
KP: HEre is a blank check. What ever you need!
Kanter: Don't leave the country, you might not get back in.
Mudiay: "Sit up straight son!", If I were you, go find Allan Houstan, and live with him.
Burke: Smile more.
Troy: What ever your doing, don't stop!
Kornet: Hungry? Have a sandwich!
ET Beas: La da da da, la da da da, You would had a max deal but then you got High......
Dotson: don't call us, we'll call you. See you in Vegas.
Noah: Dude, My man!!!! Whas uuuup, You all healed? No PED's, come back in shape. Your STARTING!!!
Dougie Buckets: You know we traded you, right?

The only reason that was a topic last yr was because KP was a no show, the season before that it was melo demanding a pg, other than that, EXIT interviews are usually close doors.

Exit interview would indicate a plan of action. The Knicks are doing a coaching search. A team with a plan already knows their target. No point doing a charade. Ask Blatt you want the job or not. I’m think Blatt said no. Most likely reason for search.

No way have they offered him the job. He would definitely say yes if offered. He and MIlls are best friends. If MIlls doesn't think he would take the job, he wouldn't offere.

So why is Blatt scheduled to come in next week for an interview?
If he cancels, then its either someone blew them away. Or, they already knew who they want.
Problem there is they might not get who they want for a variety of reasons so its good to have a plan B.
My take is they are flying to LA to meet Woodson and Jax because its rude to fly them in if they really are not being considered.
It is a sign of respect, a favor owed, or to promote the change of knicks to do so. Makes no sense to piss off Jax them have him grumpy on broadcasts.
He might be impressed by the new regime and vision. Woodson said he was open to interview and given that Dolan likes him and we kind of done him dirty when we canned him we at least owe him. That's just my take.
You might be right, Blatt might be super happy living in Turkey and wants no part of a multi million dollar contract to work with his successful friends.
Or, Knicks might have Fizz or Stack on the list and those two want a deal the knicks might not want to give them. Maybe Perry will do a 3 year contract and Orlando goes 5 for Stack. That kind of security helps when you working for the Awful Devoss family. DOlan might be an ass, but other than Oak he treats most employee's very well if they are loyal. I mean who does Isiah have to shoot before Dolan turns on him?

The point I’m making is the final outcome will be Blatt and everyone is 99% sure. If the Knicks decide on someone else it will be because Blatt said no.

Who is "everyone"?
What if Mills is not set on him, in fact just giving him an interview BECAUSE they are pals?

I am not understanding your point. I thought you said that the Knicks were doing a coaching search because Blatt declined the job.

They are making sure to avoid a Steve Kerr situation. Just in case Blatt says no.
