Why is it so bad to repeat a topic?

Just because someone has something to say about a topic that has already been mentioned in a previous topic there topic is locked.

What happened to freedom of speech? Maybe I have a different take on the previous topic, Is that so bad?.

Diceman was silenced at MSG Network because he got tired of the censoring and the punks who had nothing good to say about anything as well as annoying everyone too. He just wanted to have a clean forum where everyone can discuss a topic and not feel like they will get beat down or something. This moderating is okay, but to stifle the very person(s) who try to keep it real and have something to constructive to say not destructive.

Numerous threads on the same topic clutter up the board.

A different take can be posted on an existing thread.

it doesnt work... you wind up with 5 different Dampier threads. Its hard to follow and creates a ton of redundant posts. This is better. The mods here arent telling you you cant express your opinion. They are telling you not to do it in 5 different places.

I agree, it gets cluttered.

These guys do a good job. Its free speech, which means one can choose to participate, or not!

I find it good to have an organized forum where you know where you can talk about what. It makes post readers feel like they aren't missing a point because the information they want to read or want to talk about is in one specific thread. Sometimes people just want to be the first one to report something or be the one who starts a conversation even if it has already been mentioned. Why not just join the discussion that has already been started. I haven't seen moderators here telling people not to talk about something, they just tell posters to talk about it on its proper thread, and thats not a bad thing, just a way to keep the forums organized.
