hmmm... tough one.
I would have to say Crawford, Sweetney, OK4, Ben Gordon and Telfair in no paticuluar order. Clarence Weatherspoon is a close 6th

this entire season, to me, is about the development of mike sweetney and whether or not he's our PF of the future.

1.allan houston - to see how healthy he is.
2.mike sweetney - for obvious reasons.
3.j.craw - hopefully he and steph click.
4.trevor ariza - see him against real nba'ers. (in limited playing time probably)
certain other players i will enjoy watching, like okafor,howard,t-mac(new uni),martin(no kidd to spoon feed him alley's left and right),sorry BRIGGS but fak shaq. never liked him, never will. unfortunately living in miami and being a b'ball lover i'll be subjected to about 82 games worth of gimp diesel.

it's always interesting[atleast to me watching the best player like shaq is-especially now that he is in a new environment]
i dont like the SF Giants but any time they are on national TV i watch them and keep up everyday with their boxscores to follow Bonds. I mean I get more excitement watching Bonds than enduring the Mets anyday. sometime the individual athlete is so compelling that it can trump even your own team. watching the Knicks in certain playoff series through the 90s and of course uconn rank as my highest enjoyment. personally i loved toughness and thats the way jim calhoun is and the way van gundy and riley were and they had the basketball players to go with their styles. what we have endured the last few years watching the knicks really has been a shock to the system of fans who watched the last 20 years +

I can't wait to see everyone on the Knicks. But just to mix it up a lil, I won't use anyone on our roster.

1)Artest
2)Magloire
3)Swift
4)Redd
5)F-Will (Just for old times sake)

On the Knicks:

1. Crawford- Wanna see him in a Knicks uniform already! How will the Knicks play change when he is on the court with Marbury?
2. Sweetney- Hopefully our future starting PF! Did he improve his game enough to deserve start somewhere in the season?
3. Marbury - With the Olympics and a training camp under his belt, could we see a better Marbury this season?
4. Houston - Hopefully he will be and stay healthy this season. How deadly will NY be with his shooting back with the team?
5. T.Thomas- Will he back up his words from last playoffs and play at the level he can? Will he stop being an underachiever?

Honorable mentions: Ariza, JYD

1. Lebron James (The kid is so good it's scary. Players like this just don't come around often.)

2. Mike Sweetney (You just don't see players that have a work ethic like Mike. He has been doing everything that has been asked of him and more. Our backcourt is set, its all up to our frontcourt now. If Mike and Nazr play well this year we can win the division and win 50 games. If not, it could be another first round exit.)

3. Jamal Crawford (I really think this will be like the Marbury trade all over. IMO Jamal will come in and change his game a lot. I think he will take better shots, help set up other guys, and be more of a factor on defense. I definitely cannot wait to see him play with a Knick uniform on.)

4. Nazr Mohammed (As I said before our backcourt is set, its all up to the frontcourt now. We really need Nazr to step up if we want to be a threat in the playoffs. I'am curious to see what Nazr will do in his first year starting at Center. 11 ppg and 9 rpg is very much reachable for him.

5. Shaquille O'Neal (He is just the most dominating player I have ever seen in the NBA. Plus, a motivated Shaq is much more fun to watch. The big guy should have a very big year since Wade is much more unselfish than Kobe is on the basketball court.

Honorable Mention

Stephon Marbury (I still can't believe we have a great PG like him on our team. I also can't wait to see him play a full season for us. After the Olympic situation, it will also be interesting to see which Stephon we see.)

Yao Ming (The guy is simply a pleasure to watch. He can go inside or step back and hit the mid range jumper all day long. He has improved drastically ever since he got here and I don't think that will stop. It will also be interesting to see how well him and T-Mac will play together.)

Dwight Howard (I really thought Okafor would've been the better fit in Orlando. But Howard tore it up in the SL. Will Howard play like a number 1 pick? Or will he join Michael Olowakandi on the list of busts? It will be interesting to see)

"This is a very cautious situation that we're in. You have to be conservative in terms of using your assets and using them wisely. We're building for the future." - Zeke (I guess not protecting a first round pick is being conservative)

Out of non-Knicks, I'd say

Shaq
Artest
Emeka
Lebron
Kwame and Eddy Curry (it's make or break years for those two)

On the NBA:

1. L.James- He is just an amazing player. Looked and performed like a veteran in his prime and it was only his first year. Exciting player the NBA needs.

2. Shaq- Will he be healthy enough to play and make the Heat a real contender? We'll see, but just watching him in a uniform other than the Lakers will be nice. Shaq vs. Kobe should be great.

3. McGrady- New team, new uniform, high expectations. McGrady and Yao should make a nice combo. We'll see how he performs under Van Gundy.

4. Okafor- He was projected as the # 1 pick and was hyped a lot. I wanna see him finally in the NBA, and with a new team, literally. It will be fun to watch a new team in the NBA too.

5. Arroyo- I just like this kid. He wasn't given many oportunities before but finally it happened and he delivered. Now he responsible of a Jazz team that should be very exciting. I hope he's given more minutes and that he has a great year.

Honorable mentions:

x. D. Howard- # 1 picks are always interesting
x. P. John Ramos- Great size and potential, I hope he gets minutes this season. If he becomes the player he can be he should be one of ur future targets for a C.
