Lol...if we Willy had just slowed his roll

I'd rather keep him and play him for now, we gain nothing by buying him out at this point

Seriously how does buying him out do anything for us? What if O'Quinn leaves then what?

What an awful signing! I don't understand what they are doing, but it sure seems shortsighted.

But at least we got Courtney Lee at a discount

I don’t see Noah back this year
I don’t see Horny back next year.

Noah will be back next season under a new coach.

His level of coaching is as RAW as Franks level for playing, both are a long way from being very good.

What does it do cap wise if he's bought out? Does the cap hit go down if he accepts less?

I wouldn't mind that but that isn't close to the message that Jeff gave regarding Noah.

like your posting.

Guys get in arguments and shout at each other. I would love to know what happened or is happening that made the Noah situation so toxic. Stuff happens. TMac quit on Doc Rivers. Doc went on win a title and be a pretty good coach. If you have been around athletics for any extended period of time you know these things happen and are part of it. I wonder what got this scene so bad? Strikes me as unlike both Noah and Jeff. Time will reveal. Hopefully whatever the case Perry navigates it well. This stuff matters.

That is fine but what does it mean in terms of Salary Cap? Are they buying him out? Are they using the buyout extension? Are they just going to pay him to stay home for 2 more years?

The choice is important.

This guys gets his info via Lee or Lee's agent, I think, something like that.

It is strange the Jeff is talking Noah all of a sudden.

Last yr it was jennings and melo, this year noah and Willy, this is all under JH's watch with mills involved. This is certainly not uncommon in the NBA, but when it starts becoming a very normal occurance, thats not making your business model attractive.

The knicks will have to extend JH this summer, and after 2 (what's looking to be ) atrocious season that would be putting mills delicate career on the line. With little to no progression, and perhaps a huge step back, it would be in his best interest to find a MUCH better coach.

If JH goes into next season LAME DUCK STATUS(which would look so desperate), who the hell is going to play for him, REMEMBER don chaney, his lame duck status got him escorted out of the building after a loss in march..smh..Thanks to Isaiah

His stuff has always been accurate. Not sure what Jeff was thinking. It is a different management team. Last year Jeff was forced to answer questions about Rose etc. This year Perry seems to get out in front of things and hasn't put Jeff in that situation.

D'Antoni was a lame duck under Grunfeld and his successor was on the staff as the assistant head coach. I can't imagine Jeff being let go for Rambis though. I think a move will be made this offseason. Jeff was given a year without dysfunction. He hasn't had the best roster but I always think management and coach should have the same vision. Jeff is a hold over.

You think they are on different pages?

I have no idea what each of their agendas would be, if they are different or on same.

Outside of this thing with Noah is there anything that would indicate Jeff hasn't be in line with FO?

I think Jeff has complied with management but neither Perry or Mills chose Jeff. I thought Phil's guy was Rambis, not Jeff. I think situations like Marks/Atkinson are ideal.
