He doesn't have blazing speed, but like a guy like T Evans, he has a big body and good body control.

Actually that's probably likely. He's been in and out of the rotation. He will probably need to build his endurance back up again to be a 30 mpg player here.

I don't see him as a 30 min player on a good team

Maybe not a good team. But our team yes.

Out of shape and a bad ankle for quite a while: report is that he falls down consistently on his drives to the hole and yes he does. Bad habits and little defense.

i haven't followed him much since the draft but going into the draft he was compared to Wall and Westbrook. He doesn't look close to that now but better conditioning should help.

He got that rep coming in because he is a big, powerful guard. Clearly he's below them athletically. He needs to learn how to shoot and finish. Those are things he can control. He has no physical limitations, so the potential is still there. Long term I see him as a potentially good 3rd guard.

As a PG, his passes are as crisp as any elite PG. everything else needs a few years of maturation

we don't need him to become anything other than the best player he can be. I want him and Frank to turn into our Darrell Walker & Rory Sparrow, our Chris Childs and Charlie Ward.

We don't need an all star at every position, though we certainly need an upgrade in talent.

I saw an amazing pass from Mudiay the other game - full court thread the needle type.

He had a great in the lane finish tonight.

So, he has the potential to be really good.

Likewise, he has struggled with shots that he should make easily. I hope we have an off season program set up for both Mudiay & Frank.

I like their potential. We need help at the SF & PF spot, hopefully we can address in the draft.

Excellent post. I also hope this Front Office takes the development of these kids seriously. I have no idea what Perry has planned but it’s gotta be better than we’ve seen in the past.

I agree. We might as well go all-in on developing these guys because the potential is there and time is on their sides. Draft should be about addressing the forward spots. Add a big wing or PF. Porzingis is likely a Long term center. There's a few bigs in this draft that can play both front court positions, so there's a fit with porzingis. And also a couple bigger SFs, Doncic, Porter, and mikal bridges, to like.

Nice post and true -- I remember him as a good passer coming into the league -- that's something he still needs work on.

I mean between Burke, Hardaway, Mudiay, Frank N & Dotson- I hope we have a group that can be the mainstay of our backcourt in the next 2-5 years productively.

No doubt we could have better, and no doubt they need to develop.

And no doubt they are all question marks.

Briggs back from the edge- I should get points for that!

we really ****ed up by going with an out of shape guy with a bum ankle instead of Elfrid Payton. When you buy the most heavily discounted item on the sale rack it usually it is a steaming pile of ****
