You keep forgetting that we still do have part of the MLE and the full LLE available.

Btw, here's what Hoopshype had to say about him:

5. Sarunas Jasikevicius, Lithuania - 14.1 ppg, 5.6 apg, 3.3 rpg, 1.3 spg, 39.2 3P%

Jasikevicius had won it all in the last two years in club and national team competitions. The streak was broken in Athens – and he was partly to blame for that. While NBA scouts have usually pointed at his lack of quickness as the main reason why he's not in the league, that's not really his main weakness. The Maccabi Tel Aviv star has anger-management issues and can really get frustrated on the course of a game if things don't go his way. That was never more obvious than in the fourth quarter of the semifinal game against Italy. His questionable decisions, ill-advised shots and constant complaining to the officials did nothing to help Lithuania in its quest for gold. That said, Jasikevicius was pretty impressive both shooting the ball and running the team. But that's nothing new.

I'd like to add Keon and Rodney White using what's left of the MLE and the full LLE. That gives us 16 players. (I haven't seen one source confirm that European newspaper's claim that the Knicks signed Bruno to a guaranteed contract.) Then you worry in a month from now about getting down from 16 to 15 (or 17 to 15 if we actually do have Bruno). Several teams have more than 16 or 17 players and are in the same boat we'd be in if we followed my plan above.

I'd say bring in the players preferably front court players in for training camp so they can compete for the the final roster spot. This way you at least can see who wants to be apart of the team rather than sign somebody just because you have an open spot . If Sundov wants to play on the team then he has to earn it, same thing for Keon or any other player they wants to play this season in the NBA.

it seems to me that the reason brewer was brought in was for his defense and athletisism. and on the cheap. kinda like a poor man's bruce bowen. i'm sure that after his performance in athens jas@&*%#cius would have definitely asked for more than that, and can't defend to save his life.

So this guy has anger management issues. Half the NBA does too! As long as he can shoot they will find a place for him. Come on. It's all about the ball going in the basket. If he needs therapy, I am sure he will be able to afford it on his own with the salary he can make in the NBA.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

it would have been nice, but the 1st time this guy yelled at Stephon Marbury, he'd be shipped outta town anyway...why bother?

This was in Ford's Insider a couple of days ago. Looks like he's not available.

Jasikevicius agreed on a three-year contract with Spanish club F.C.
Barcelona that will commence after his contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv expires at
the end of the coming season. While the contract does have an NBA escape clause,
Barcelona is on the verge of making Jasikevicius one of the highest-paid players
in Europe. NBA teams will no longer be able to get him cheap.
