This is my 3 team proposal

Seattle trades: Jerome James and Ray Allen
Supersonics get: Jalen Rose, Kurt Thomas or Nazr Mohammed plus cash considerations from NY and a 05' 1st rd pick from Toronto and a future 1st rd 06 from NY (Or vise Versa, maybe NY gives the 05' 1st rder and T-dot gives the 06.. both are likely to be weak drafts according to team needs!)

Toronto trades: Vince Carter, Jalen Rose and a future 1st rd pick
The Raptors get: Ray Allen and Tim Thomas

NY trades: Kurt Thomas, Tim Thomas, 1st rd pick and cash money money
The Knicks get: Vince Carter and Jerome James

Baker/Mohammed/James
Williams/Sweetney
Carter/Ariza/Anderson
Houston/Crawford
Marbury/Hardaway/Norris/Brewer

What do you think????

I know I'm gonna be thought insane for this, but I'd rather have TT than VC at the 3.

wow...i'm really trying to find some reason why that trade won't work, but i'm drawing a blank...not bad...not bad at all.

though there's no way i'd start Jerome Williams on that roster over Sweetney...i might even start Baker at PF w/Nazr at C too.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Me too. Not cause I think TT is better, I think its because I think TT has more upside at this point than VC.

Why exactly did Dampier turn us down? It was money right? I dont remember what happened there exactly

Nice trade, I posted a very similar trade on MSG Network Fanzone a month ago.

Vince Carter sucks. People here need to stop being wow-ed by dunks and the precious 20ppg mark. Vince hasn't been good in years. Tim had his best season last year and is probably going to get better. He's 6'10". You don't give up on size with that much speed and athleticism to acquire your 4th talented, high paid guard. We already have the hottest three guard rotation in the league!!! Get some size!!!

Agreed. It would be very unlikely that three players who dominate the ball (Jamal, STeph, and Vince) could play well together. The only reason I'd want Vince would be to trade him, but I'd rather just keep TT at SF.

If you want as much talent as possible and don't care that the players' skills conflict with each other, then Vince would be an awesome addition

come on who wouldnt take VC over TT--remember VC has brought weak teams into the playoffs[and beat us] with him as the horse. hes a better all around player and tougher than TT.

dont worry this is just fantasy anyway

I definitely *would* take him over TT, but only to trade him. VC a few years ago was a much better player and did carry his team to playoff appearances. Now, a shadow of his former self, all he carries them to is repeat lottery performances.

yeah, but he doesn't have Marbury, Crawford, Houston & Sweetney to play with either...i'd take VC over TT anyday...this isn't even a reasonable question...VC is simply a better player period...plus he has much higher trade value & marketing value...it's a no brainer...people saying they'd rather have TT than VC aren't being objective.

Why exactly did Dampier turn us down? It was money right? I dont remember what happened there exactly

it was a combination of him preferring a more lucrative contract as well as the teams involved being more willing to make a deal with the pieces that were exchanged...if Dampier had wanted to be a Knick, he could have accepted the MLE offer, but obviously the money WAS the reason he went someplace else, & the bonus was going to a team like DAL that has a legitimate shot at contending at a title next year...how could Dampier possibly turn that down?

Everyone is so down on carter, the guy was injured and didn't really have all that much to work with. Anyone who would rather have Tim Thomas is crazy, and should have their head examined, TT has very little upside compared to Carter...Carter All-Star, game changer, and gold medal winner

TT Fugazy.....Carter and Marbury make Houston one of the most deadly players in the game.

Call me crazy, but I'd rather Tim Thomas. Especially if it meant losing Nazr for Jerome James.

while Wince is hurt often, has a suspect work ethic and has fallen a little too in love with his jumper the simple fact is he's more talented than TT, and there is nothing TT does that Vince couldnt or wouldnt.

That being said I am happy with TT, I like where is contract is, I like what I have heard about his offseason and he's an excellent fit in what we want to do here.
