I just can't see playing 4 on 5 entire games offensively for the most part with Jack and Frank at the point. Here's a guy in Young that's only 25, fits the timeline well with our core guys and has plus speed/good talent offensively. Good enough handle & passer to facilitate the offense. I think he'd make a good pairing with Frank moving forward--they both provide different things and make for a nice young contrast. Nobody's saying bury Frank--continue to play him and let him develop, I just want something different than Jack. Everyone's saying Jack's been hurt and will only get better for us -- I don't see that at all. I see an aging player that's not part of the future and will only break down or slow down as the heavy minutes continue to mount. I'd love a fresh, new look at the point, someone that complements what Frank brings to the table. Young looks to be buried behind Darren Collison and Cory Joseph in Indy right now. Shouldn't cost that much.

Man, look at this game tonight. SMH... You just knew we were going to struggle with a team like this. We just don't match up in the backcourt at all. Wouldn't it be nice if we had some guards that were legit scoring threats? I mean we have Timmy and what else??? Their guards are eating us for breakfast WHILE ALSO taking the night off on the other end. What do we do to even the playing field out there? I mean we need KP to go for 40 tonight to even have a chance. Or Timmy to pour in 38 like he did against the Raptors? Look, improved as he is, Timmy's not capable of doing that most nights.

Planned a family trip to Washington next March. Just got tix for the Knick/Wizards game @ WASH. Gonna be the same deal -- we just don't match up with guys like Wall and Beal. What do we do to try to match up? Why not try and do something?? Do we just keep ushering Jack and Frank out there, Courtney Lee (who's playing well but you know he's gonna cool off at some point)...and hope for the best? Or do we try to add a little firepower by bringing in a zero risk/all reward scoring PG like Cat Barber and see if we can narrow the gap a little bit? Sessions isn't the answer. Neither is Ron Baker..

LOL, I know everyone thinks I'm out to lunch on this but isn't the proof in the pudding somewhat?

Take a good look at this Cat Barber college video:

Not only is this kid's awesome offensive prowess on full display throughout, look carefully at some other sequences:

1:57 - Drive and dish. Listen right after the play, Doris Burke (who's no bimbo btw -- she knows the game and is enjoyable to listen to) is talking about drawing attention on penetration and making things easy on the bigs. What PG do we have that can do that? Answer: No one.

4:30 - An even more impressive drive and dish. Burke again talking about how Barber's capable of creating for himself and others. Again, we don't have anything like this. Not even close. Nothing's made easy for KP or any of our bigs. KP has to work his tail off to get all his offense. They barely even post up Kanter (which is another problem altogether I've been outspoken about trying to fix). NOTHING is made easy for KP/Kanter like on this play.

5:40 - Lightning quick transition. Again, we have no one capable of providing anything like this.

I know this is a Joe Young thread, but Barber's an even better option and he wouldn't cost anything to add. Not a single asset. You guys honestly think we couldn't use a guy like this??
