Is it a legit concern how Dolan fired all of those security guards, and other staff members, who are more important than we think. Should I feel safe going to Knick games and other MSG events, now that this is happening? I really want your opinions, b/c this seems to be quite overlooked.

cutting security before the RNC is curious. Perhaps they were replaced with federal personel to get their hands on the Garden months in advance and lock it down.
Perimeter defense is not just important for the Knicks, but for the building.
I am very surprised and grateful nobody has tried any bad things at a sports event.

You're more likely to be killed in a car accident than in a terrorist attack. Unless you're going to stop driving your car, you shouldn't alter your behavior out of fear of reduced security at MSG

i'm a season ticket holder. i hate dolan and i hate his business practices. but i also love the knicks. yes, i'm giving money to somebody who probably doesn't deserve it, but i am getting something out of it. they're my favorite team in my favorite sport and that overrides anything else.

alot of these "security" personnel don't even take their jobs seriously...i can't begin to tell you how many times i've been to sporting events, concerts & even airports (where you would think security would be at a premium) that i've seen "security staff" just slacking off on the job, flirting w/co-workers, & just generally being non-attentive to what they are being paid to do.
i'd rather see a small team of dedicated, well trained professionals patrolling these venues than a bunch of non-attentive slackers anyday.

"Tight tight security" Remember that way back when those jamaican clubs would advertise on NY radio stations but I wouldnt worry.There was only one real time to worry about going to a NY game and that was in the 70s with the Yanks.Every few minutes they would pan to the crowd and show a fight that was going on.Knick fans are there to have a good time not make trouble.
