Nice 12 season career for D. Lee, an unexpected 20/10 NBA all star. Put in a real strong effort during seasons where we were really bad. Did a great job playing way above his draft position and oftentimes playing out of position at center. Don't cry for him though, he's engaged to Caroline Wozniacki. Happy trails D Lee!

That made me feel old... I know we all remember him in high school wining the dunk contest. Time waits for no man

He was great on the pick and roll. He had a good jump shot and could finish with either hand.

David Lee was my favorite player in an otherwise bad Knicks era. I remember that dunk contest well. I also remember that game in 2006 where he tipped in that inbounds pass with 0.1 seconds left to win the game. I wish we could have brought him back for 1 more season before retirement. He's a good guy and was a lot of fun to watch. He was an all-star on both coasts and an NBA champ. Great career!

Some of the bright spots in Isiah Thomas era was his drafting, especially David Lee.

I thought he would be better than what he became. But it's hard to argue with his stella resume, as you pointed out already. Great NBA career....I agree!

I played and continue to play against guys who got drafted, but ended up in the D-League,G-League or overseas. And David Lee could've been on that same path, depending on who drafted him.

Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!

Dlee was an allstar TWICE!! In the scheme of things its rare company!
He was all NBA third team.
He has been credited by Warriors ownership as their first signee that moved the needle towards its championship run. While he lost his job in the starting lineup he still got a ring with that team and was important.
All this from a 30th pick. I'd say he did quite well. His grandfather started what was the Lee-Rowan company and David came from big family money. He still had a fire in his belly to succeed. We have seen many guys come and go who play for the money, this guy played for money and pride.
We let him basically walk (we got Anthony Randolph back) so we could sign Amare.
Congrats to DLee and and hope we hear from him again about future success!

When he didn't quickly get out of camera range that is.
Along with a ring, he managed to never get posterized.

LMAO! Lee padded his stats to a ring, big payday, and a sweet looking wife. Cant hate on that, lol.

I stand humbly corrected.
I plead guilty to only watching and remembering his defensive play as a Knick.
