The conversation will go
Draymond Green
Rudy Gobert
Marc Gasol
Kawhi Leonard
Green is defensively complete. I'm not sure, in all of NBA history, if you can really say that very often. He can guard all five positions. He can close off the wing. He can defend the rim. PNR. Help defense. Anticipation. Length. Situational awareness. Moves well in traffic/close contact. Elite fundamentals. Elite court vision. Relentless motor. Elite footwork.
Given how the modern rules are designed to handcuff defenders and keep the points flowing for the ratings and fan interest, and the shift to the "space and pace" type game, what Green is doing night after night is pretty incredible.
