Its such a shame what this kid is doing to himself. He left his homwtown to go to Portland, and that shoulda given him the opportunity to put this type thug behaviour behind him.

Seems to me he has everybody fooled into thinking hes a good kid inside, then he just continues to destroy himself.

What a waste. I hope for his sake he never gets to the Big Apple, cuz he'll wind up dead here.
Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream things that never were and ask why not?

Rasheed, Bonzi, Randolph...Portland isn't having too much luck with their morals they're trying to pass off.

if they trade randolph, they'll have gotten rid of many of their troubled guys. at least it is something and a good step in the right direction.

as long as POR is getting rid of these "bad character" guys & replacing them with more well mannered types, maybe we can get them to give us Ruben Patterson in exchange for Shandon Anderson if we throw some cash their way? the lenghts of both contracts are the same if you factor in Ruben's player option for '06/'07, which he's sure to exercise.

How many true small forwards are there in the league? Tim is one of the few

tim is the farthest thing from a small forward, im not saying hes bad, im just saying hes no true small forward. hes a sf/pf
how do you figure??? When he came off the bench in Mil he would replace Robinson, Ray Allen or whoever was playing PF that year.. Mason, Scott Williams, ect.

TT can play the 2,3 or 4 for stretches. He's got excellent ball handling skills, and not for bigger guy, he's just got a good handle period. He's solid from outside, awesome from midrange and can post smaller or slower defenders. How is this guy not a prototypical SF?

TMS I would do that in a NY minute. Patterson is a much better defender and rebounder than a guy thats been labeled a defensive specialist.

Im suprised Port didnt deal Zach earlier. They have Rahim to play 4 and Zach has a lot of value around the league... plus who knows what happens to that team next year because everyone is in their walk years.

they were probably hoping to deal Rahim at the trade deadline & keep Zach longterm, but this latest gaffe w/the law might have been the last straw...Rahim had no other options & he would have been a valuable trade chip to have because of his expiring deal, & there are always teams looking for frontcourt depth to make their runs to the playoffs every year...but because they have Theo Ratliff's defensive presence down low, i think they can afford to make this deal & get the shooting presence they have needed for a longtime in Redd...he will be a nice fit on that team alongside Rahim, Ratliff, Stoudamire & Miles...& Van Exel, Mason & Haislip will make good additions to their bench this year as well.
