If we are going to play big at all times, we need to lead the league in rebounding. We need to win close games because we got extra possessions in the 4th quarters. This has to be an identity that grows into a fear throughout the league. Force teams to adjust to this. Make it so teams can't play small because we are just too big and too active on the glass.

totally agree. We need to lead the league in BOTH rebounding categories. Bully people inside on offense, clog up the paint on defense. We have 4 centers plu KP when Noah comes back, rotate them all so we can be relentless on the boards. We have an advantage lets use it to the max.

I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only try to make them think - Socrates

Just looking at how the Knicks have been approaching things they clearly want to play to their strength which is quality BIGS. As long as the perimeter players are extra active on D this makes it possible to beat teams that are playing small. Knicks have been able to match up quite well defensively while punishing teams with their great size!

Teams struggling to deal with KP and Kanter or KOQ are cleaning up the boards. That’s the key. Imagine if Kanter has any kind of rim protection ability? It would be game over.

love it. might be doable, but it has to come with great defense in the paint if we want to keep up the winning.

right now overall we hold down the 8th spot:

1) Hornets -- 51.4
2) Blazers -- 49.7
3) Clips -- 47.8
4) Spurs -- 47.7
5) Suns -- 47.3
6) Bulls -- 47.0
7) Celtics -- 46.4
8) Knicks -- 46.3
9) Pelicans -- 46.1
10) Lakers -- 45.5

offensively we’re 4th!

1) Spurs -- 13.3
2) Blazers -- 13.0
3) Clips -- 12.7
4) Knicks -- 12.5
5) Pistons -- 12.0

but defensively we’re a frightening 19th...

Also, on offense, it is important that our shooters are making shots. Lee, Hardaway, Ntilikina, McDermott all need to shoot the ball well from the outside, so defenders can't hedge towards the middle. Kanter and KP are a lot more effective on the offensive boards when defenders are staying home on shooters. If we are running a team thru 2 elite offensive bigs, they have to be surrounded by guys who will make defenders pay for even thinking about helping guard those 2 guys.
