How many PG's do the Knicks need? Is David Kahn secretly running the team?

Sessions going nowhere, not sure about Jack now.

This is a weird signing, for both the Knicks and Trey

Who knows about this guy? 5 the year now. Was a starter his 1st 2 years. Then NOT the last 2.

Good Shooter, Score first PG?

Jack is probably History ... and runornof Lance being traded may mean Lee or another guard not far behind. XRM didn’t handle his time on the floor well so he’s probably gone as well.

i really like trey burke. he's not the best shooter in the world, but the rest of his game is pretty damn good. he's a heady pg, if he could just develop a J, he'd turn into a pretty nice player. i'm actually really surprised he wasn't picked up by anyone, he's only 24yo, there's plenty there to work with.

I believe it backs up Perry's contention that the Knicks want to compete, not just roll over. Frank looks like he is a ways off from being a reliable starting PG. Sessions and Jack are effective in limited minutes. Baker has to show aggressiveness for 4 quarters. Lots of guards right now who are capable of coming off the bench, but we're desperate for a PG who can have more of an immediate impact.

I like that Perry realizes that this team needs help at the point. If Kanter shows something, along with McDermott, maybe move them with KOQ for frontcourt defensive help, and a look at another PG, if Burke doesnt pan out.

This feels like a swing for the fences more than anything. Im guessing it will be either Jack or Sessions, not both being sent packing.

Some are saying this move is for the G league. I question why a once first round pick would agree to that.

Can Burke defend?

it is a weird signing. They worked out Jack and Burke and chose to give the camp invite to Jack. Also, Burke was about to sign somewhere (OKC?) and then backed out. I like the signing.

Comes across as an immature kid to me. Blaming The Jazz for his failures. Nice.

really good college PG. Not a great pro from what I have seen which is really really limited.

Bottom line is we have a lot of PGs yes but none stand out. The only commitment should be to Frank. Burke is another 25 year old. Good age to take a flier on the guy. I am good with this, especially if Jeff likes something about him

XRM hasn't shown anything so my guess is he's done. I think they're happy with Nitty and Baker. Both defend and get the team into the offense. They may just want to try out Burke to see if he can add something better than XRM.

Jack may not make it. He's been just OK. They may feel Jack won't stand up to a full season.

Welcome Trey Burke
