I have followed my beloved NYKnicks since the days of the OLD Garden. I have the memories of sitting in the upper deck with my Dad (it was the San Francisco Warriors featuring Wilt Chamberlain) to prove it. Watched Clyde, The Pearl, Dean The Dream, Lucas, Ken "The Animal" Bannister, Luther "Ticky" Burden, Michael Ray, Vandeweghe (past his prime), Patrick "and to top it off Starks got ejected."

We have 20 hungry young men in camp, battling for roster spots and minutes. It is up to all of them to fill the void left by Melo, and at the same time, change the playing personality of the Knicks for the better.

Center we got: Kanter vs Willy vs Noah vs KOQ
Small Forward we got: Lee or Hardaway jr vs Lance vs Kuz vs Beasley vs Mcdermott
Shooting guard we got: Hardaway jr vs Lee vs Baker vs Frank vs Dotson
Point guard we got: Baker vs Sessions vs Frank vs Jack

Super early blind predictions.
Kanter/Noah - Noah if healthy and in shape brings different needed elements like defense and passing and he is getting paid 18mil.
KP/Lance - Lance will get the nod for defensive effort and stretch 4 capabilities. But can lose his role to Beasley.
Lee/Beasley - For now I give the edge to Beasley, but Kuz may be a sleeper in Jeffs offensive style.
Hardaway jr/Baker - Jeff will lean on small quicker play leading toward a lot of 2-3 G lineups.
Sessions/Frank - Frank will have that starting spot some time during the season. Frank may start out playing more off guard though.

Although the credential-holding media wanted to get Knicks players to bite on the after-effects of Melo, they were not taking the bait. Where drama used to reside, there was joy. Portzingis was looking forward to a new chapter and Mirsad Turckan... I mean... Enes Kanter was so overjoyed about the thought of New York City that he had to slap himself in the middle of the night. How cool is that?
