Disclaimer: I'm not saying any of these players are like ir going to be just as good or better. I'm just talking about the roster configuration so calm the **** down)

Pau Gasol vs Kristaps
Kobe vs THJr
Derek Fisher vs Jarrett Jack
Lamar Odom vs Beasley
Bynum vs Kanter

Then you can argue the rest. It would seem our current bench is better than that Lakers team bench.

I could see THJr becoming a 18-20pt a game scorer. I could see Kristaps doing the same. I think jack is going to be our starting PG on day one. He's not gonna be great but I could see 8pts 4 assists with Sessions, Baker and Frank breathing down his neck. I think Beas could florish as the top foward off the bench. He could start at the 3 as well so don't sleep. Its just going to be hard to tell Kuz, Thomas and McDermott to sit on the bench. At least one will probably never play. Kanter is a beast. His numbers don't lie. I'm looking forward to him getting that shot to maintain 30 plus mins a game. He could give you 20 and 9 in 30 mins based off last year's production. 16 and 9 based off his career per 30 mins.

It's super possible for the guys to succeed together. Everyone is the same age. KP 20/7, THJr 20pts per, Kanter 18/9... why not? Beasley getting 11pts off the bench Willy getting 10/7 off the bench. Other guys contributing. Coach Horny letting the guys fly. Maaaaaan.

Offensively you may have a point... defensively its a joke.
2008 Lakers will drop 150 points any day on this Knicks.

you are right but not really the point... I'm just stating this team has the pieces now to compete. They are very strong 10 plus there are 5 extra guys that could just as easily contribute

I see your point but I think Frank takes the reigns from day 1. He is that good. My only question right is the 3 spot.

Well the truangle worked for them. Jack already said Horny isn't running the same things. It's more wife open and quicker. So we will be "modernizing" our approach. I hate the term but this is life I guess

We have talent, but the pieces don't fit. Odom is a facilitator, which took pressure of Kobe and Fisher. Beasely is the opposite. Bynum anchored the defense, which also took pressure off Pau inside. Kanter needs alot of work in order to be able to provide that for Kristaps. Jack also needs to prove he's not washed up. The Knicks still have a lot of work to before being competitive.

No criticism...just curiosity.

Any inside info to make you believe Ntilikina is the real deal, or are you just going by the info we all have access to?

Hope you are right.

That team was elite in 08, and was in the finals, 09/10..The knicks are lottery bonud for the next 3 to 4 season..Our situation is more like when walsh took over and had a few young players in gollow, lee, chandler, and nate.

maybe you haven't fully grasp how much of a joke will be defensively, it's like having 5 melo's on the floor defensively

No inside source. Just the same info we all have access to. I am going by my gut and Frank's resume. The fact that he has started and led his team to the LNB Pro A Finals is fantastic.

yes, but wasn't Hornacek quoted as saying he saw some NBA payer things missing from Frank and that still need to be developed. so to me that says he's not a lockdown starter.

I think Lee will have to play SF. Kuz is probably about to get major mins there too. Beasley...not sure what he can do...we are taking quite a bit of flyers on players and that means we do not expect most of them to work out.

Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL So are we going to reference that thread like the bible now? "The thread of Wroten Page 14 post 9" - EnySpree

I think Hornacek was looking more at the training issue...building up his body.

Made him sound like a gym-rat, and not a strength building guy.

I prefer the gym-rat, to be honest...the other stuff can come later.

Some shots we've seen of him make me think that he is already maturing at becoming more solid, but he still has a few more years to go in terms of physical maturity, and there is no way to speed that up.

Let me get this straight: Jarret Jack, Beasely and Kanter.....make us comparable in any possible way to a team that went to the Finals? The NBA Finals?
And you're telling other people to calm the fuck down?

THJr and Kobe in the same sentence.
You funny.
