Why would Isiah sign another pg? Could this mean another trade is on the horizon?

Never heard of this guy...you're right, this may be a sign of Moochie leaving.

I'm not surprised the team added one more PG. I thought they were going to add Barrett actually. There's still one roster spot left. I think Isiah will try hard to get Keon Clark.

I did not expect another PG at all...but knowing we would get one, I would have expected Barrett too. I wouldn't be surprised to see Zeke package Kurt and Moochie for a front court player, most likely a C.

is his contract even guarenteed? This smells of a training camp invite, where only 50k or something is guarenteed

Knicks sign Teen Wolf! Awooooo! Ah Ah Awooooo!

Good lord. You guys don't remember this knuckle head from Indiana? He isn't that good. Let's hope the contract isn't guaranteed or that there's a Moochie trade brewing...

oh well, it was nice having you mooch. funny how we all have the same feeling.
moochie plus 3mil=ending contract. kurt above avg power fwd. (for just about any team BUT the knicks) those two can get us something decent.

He must be good if Isiah feels the need to sign him.....

I don't think I remember seeing anybody with dreads playing in Indiana. Maybe he was that guy that was always dressed up on the sidelines.....

Maybe he got hurt and never got to show his skill....

Whatever....it just sounds like a trade on the way....

I hope it's soon.

Isiah coached him in Indiana, maybe that's why there's a connection.

I wonder what Norris, KT, and $3 million could get them on the trade block.

Less than what KT and $3 million could get them.

Isiah is a precise evaluator of talent.
This kid was drafted as a 2nd rounder several years ago. I am sure Zeke had a strong influence on that pick.

The kid can really bring it defensively, although he has no shooting touch.

Isiah seems pretty intent on creating a team out of these parts he has assembled. To do so, These guys will have to grow trough training camp and practices. This kid and JYD can bring in some defensive intensity to the practice floor. I think that can help the overall team grow.

he's a big combo guard---6-4 6-5 who can finish real strong and is extremely athletic. Very good ball hawk and rebounder from the G poistion. Problems--he is not really a PG--he has nice ballhandling skills but isnt a PG per-se. Terrible god awful jump shooteer with no PG skills i.e passing running a club getting others involved he isnt really a PG. I would say he's a poor mans kevin ollie with even a worse jump shot, but has the athletiscm of a top tier nBA player. kind of like ariza but at the PG he's all athlete and very little basketball. Could he make the team as a defender 3rd PG type? maybe

i remember this guy, if anyone of u guys watched the pacers @kings game he played many minutes there. Im not sure what IT sees in him but, im not even sure if he deserves to play over moochie. He did some great things that game but he just doesnt have enought experience on the court and likely wont get enough as a knick neither. I would def. play Penny at PG b4 this kidd, with jamal at the 2.

He is just a practice player, to complete the roster. Prolly a minimum non guranteed contract. I don't think this means anything, other then we'll have somebody with long hair on the team for a change lol.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Well...wild hair is really the secret to success. How do you think the Pistons won? Ben's fro is what gave them their rings.

ISIAH'S MAKING A POINT

By MARC BERMAN

August 28, 2004 -- Apparently, Isiah Thomas likes the Knicks' newest addition, point guard Jamison Brewer, as much as Ron Artest does.

Last Monday, Artest — who was talking about the changes his Pacers were undergoing — mentioned losing "their best point guard" in Brewer. Artest's remark raised eyebrows, since Brewer was the Pacers' fourth-stringer behind Jamaal Tinsley, Anthony Johnson and Kenny Anderson.

Thomas, who coached the athletic Brewer for two seasons in Indiana, yesterday signed the free agent to a one-year deal worth $720,046, the league minimum for three-year vets. The 6-4 Brewer, who came out of Auburn after his sophomore year, appeared in 13 games last season for Indiana, averaging 2.5 points and 1.3 assists.

Brewer's deal does not affect the Knicks' $4.9 million exception. The Knicks, after signing Vin Baker to a $3.5M wage last week, still have $1.4M of that exception to offer 6-11 Keon Clark, who's still on Thomas' radar. Thomas can also sign Clark with the team's small exception of $1.6M.
