Entertaining offense to watch...a lot of movement & teamwork.

I'd expect that Hornacek watched some games to see how KP was utilized...whether he sees other things he might be able to use is another thing.

Helps when your PG doesnt have the lowest assist rate in the league for a starting PG, like Rose did last season. Dont know why some posters didnt factor that into the end result.

The smartest thing Mills has done so far was ruling out reupping Rose.

that was excellent execution...I can watch that all day, and even when the 1st option wasn't available they smoothly went into option 2 or 3.

not for nothing, but rose biggest problem was the triangle, and I hardly every saw KP roll to the basket without the ball in his entire 3 yrs under the triangle. That is exactly the way you use him

The Knicks ran offense very similar to this. They used cuts, double screens, drag screens and PnR. KP had many opportunities to roll but he wasn't as good at doing it plus Rose didn't pass it enough or very well at times. Willy rolled well and Holiday used cuts very well.

I expect we'll see much better execution next season.

Good video. I can't imagine that coach is watching any of this. He is an NBA coach and really does not doe anything unless we see it on youtube.

I was watching all that ball movement. Then thinking of Melo and how he not letting go of that ball.

The Knicks already run a system based on Ball and Player movement. It looks different when you have a DRose, Melo and Jennings handling the ball. Phil took a chance on those players and LOST. I suspect that the offense will look much different when we have a team full of players that actually Pass and Move without the ball.

I would guess that Hornacek would watch some of these games because he's a guy that loves the Technical aspects of the game. People forget that Jeff is a brilliant basketball mind and Steve Kerr was going to bring him on his staff if the Knicks didn't take him. Kerr loves Jeff.

Nope. Knicks had nothing like this. To make it work, everyone got to keep moving to keep D committed and guessing. DRose and Melo had their fun, everybody else were just riding along, and KP - picking up laundry, creating his own shots or damn putbacks :-)

The Knicks actually did try to run some stuff like that but as I said it won't look as fluid with guys like DRose, Melo and BJ handling the ball so much. Jeff made concessions to them. It started with DRose missing camp which Jeff tried to hold off from installing the full offense until Rose got back.

Then you had the Mutiny as I call it. Melo led things from how it was described.

According to Al Iannazzone of Newsday, Anthony feels good about the tone of the conversation and the potential implications of it.

“I thought the players did a great job of just kind of voicing their opinion on kind of where we want to be, what type of team we want to be, where we want to go and things that we want to see change,” Anthony said after leading the Knicks with 31 points.
“The conversation was a long conversation. I don’t want to go into details about what we spoke about, but my guys responded very well to what was said in that meeting. As you can see, it was a different focus, it was a different mindset, it was a different energy that we approached the game with.”
Asked if team president Phil Jackson intervened in any way, Anthony happily stated that The Zen Master remained silent and gave the players the floor.

“Nah, he actually just listened this time,” Anthony said, “which is good.”

It wasn't exactly how things were intended to go but I expect we'll see better execution of the offense this season.

Why not if it's best offence in Europe? Latvia is 1st in PPG, APG and AST/TO

Again, why would an NBA coach change his system, which he learned from a pretty good NBA coach/long career, to adapt to a system that did well, but not good enough to get out of the quarterfinals of a much weaker different type of league? And are you saying Latvia uses schemes never seen or utilized by most basketball offenses?

An offensive flow that generated 97 points in QF against the same Slovenian defence which allowed only 72 points in SF (while beating Spain - Gasol, Gasol, Rubio) may indeed be something, as you rightfully pointed out.
I do not believe you could imitate it, NBA play is objectively not that team oriented (except for GSW & SAS).
