Cleveland: Melo and Wiggins
NY Knicks Kyrie + 2 to make it work
Minnesota : Love

Essentially.

Frank N may need to be a part of it.

The best trades sometimes are the ones you don't make. It would be foolish to trade any pick for Kyrie. I would not give up Ntlikina, Henangomez or any number one pick. Kyrie isn't worth it, this would be a disastrous move by the Knicks. It's Marbury, Melo trade revisited.

The scenario does not on its face involve a pick or relinquishing a future pick.

I do not see Isiah Thomas being a MAX player and that is what he see's himself as, he is a hell of a bargain at his current contract but would be overpaid as an undersized PG that would head in to his early 30's heading into a new contract

With that said, they can offer a package of

Isiah Thomas
Smart (will be a RFA next summer and I DO NOT THINK THAT THE CELTICS would even want to waste money on a QO)
Jae Crowder, GREAT VALUE VERSATILE PLAYER ON CONTRACT FOR A COUPLE YEARS that can defend multiple positions

1 future 1st rounder if projected a TOP PICK if not, 2 draft picks with one being Celtics own draft picks, along with some 2nd rounders

for

Irving *since his final year is a player option, it is essentially a 2year deal and I would much rather trade for Irving than overpay to keep Isiah Thomas

the trade can possibly expand to Celtics absorbing JR Smith's contract, in which Jaylen Brown/Marcus Morris/Terry Rozier may need to be involved
However, they would also reflect the value of draft picks as well, I think it is a WIN WIN for both teams with LBJ not guaranteeing a return to Cleveland
It still allows Cleveland to be a TOP 2 Eastern Conference Team, while getting rid if JR Smith's contract while they can

Celtics still have enough draft picks to overpay for possibly 2 TOP TIER FA's to a borderline ALL STAR contract with one being in a rookie deal like KP, though not sure if they still fit in Anthony Davis's contract in for a future trade
They have so much draft picks in the near future that they will have to overpay for talent sooner or later

Cleveland can turn around and use players such as Smart *used as an expiring/Frye/ possibly Iman Shumpert *1year with one player option* draft picks for CA
so essentially they we get back expirings/cap space relief for CA along with a combination of draft picks

With Derrick Rose/Isiah Thomas and the cap friendly deal of Crowder while getting rid of JR Smith, it really isn't such a bad trade
Isiah Thomas could be a 1year rental and be resigned if Lebron does stay, it would be hard for LBJ to turn down a 5year deal if he is eligible for the SUPERMAX desiginated contract, even a 5year deal at Blake Griffen + type money is a lot of money

I just do not seeing us being able to become a contender to surround KP with enough talent to compete even in The East Conference Finals before he is RFA
With that said, I am not looking to trade him for the sake of it, however, if a team is willing to overpay for KP cause they can surround him with the talent to compete for a RING, then so BE IT

We will have to get bad before we are EVER SERIOUS ABOUT WINNING A TITLE
IMO, this would be a 4-5year plan, that we can execute while developing Frank and getting multiple draft picks before we have ability to sign MULTIPLE FA's when we have a YOUNG CORE to intrigue such talent like how TWOLVES just turned it around and possibly Philly/Kings/Sun's could be next when Noah/Lance Thomas/Lee and Kyle O Quin *will need to trade him sometimes before the trade deadline* are expirings or eventually traded for 2nd rounders or late 1st rounders, with Willy Herm being a ??? on what he could become and what he would net us in a the future as he continues to progress

KP is eligible for an extention 1year before Noah/Lance/Lee expire
I would be looking for 4 draft picks for KP, with at least 1 being a HIGH DRAFT PICK, possibly 2, along with 2nd rounders
having some younger players or cap friendly deals would be good but if not that is what I would be looking at for KP especially if he has a EARLY/GREAT START

We can also look to sign Christian Wood to a 3year deal, 2 year guaranteed with a 3rd year TEAM OPTION on a cap friendly contract
Maybe look for the next Jovic/Draymond Green with 2nd rounders and draft the next Kawaii/Klay THompson/Giannes who were NOT TOP 10 draft picks
Along with looking for the next Patrick Beverely/Tyler Johnson/Whiteside/even Seth Curry etc.....

Also think Thomas Robinson/Maybe DMO could FIT INTO A HIGH TEMPO OFFENSE if we do move on from Kyle O Quin, trade KP, etc, along with signing our D League Jovic

Within these 5years we need to establish a culture most importantly, along with a DEFENSIVE identity and OFFENSIVE identity with more player/ball movement, with multiple ball handlers/3pt shooters and versatile DEFENDERS

CHANGING THE PERCEPTION for FUTURE FA's with the addition of many future draft picks on rookie scaled contracts
Continue to use cap space to identify what could become assets

I would like to see Sean Kilpatrick/Spencer Dwinwidie and Shabazz Muhammad with Jeff's UPTEMPO OFFENSE as well
Finding the next Whiteside/Robert Covington in the G League/continued development/undrafted talents with 2-3year deals, possibly 2 guaranteed and 2 unguaranteed if for 4years but I think most FA's would prefer 2-3years deals

We should not trade Frank, our baby Giannis!
