I think this is a LEGIT player that we can probably utilize and fit in with how Jeff Hornaceck Philosophy
He is a combo guard, with its strengths being pentration/facilitating, with DeANgelo Russell, Lin, he may be the odd man out
Now i wouldn't give a draft pick for him but I think he is worth keeping an eye on as he may get cut and was very productive last year when he was called upon when Lin and others were out...

Along with Spencer Dwinwiddie *UFA*
Not sure about Isiah Cannon

If they want to go to "veteran" mentorship route
players such as Jameer Nelson, DJ Augustine, Ty Lawson and Sessions *the only FREE AGENTS as LEGIT VETS*

can we find our own Robert Covington, the VET MIN for 4years locked in to short contracts?

I can totally see us finding a gem like Sean Kilpatrick for a CAP FRIENDLY contract for 3years and being a great FIT that can play with Frank

There are the Summer League PG and D League stand outs as well
Like the ones on Dallas/Lakers Summer Leagues....
Bryce Cotton and Shved??? are some names are couple years back with Mike James *the young one, not sure if Sun's signed him or gave him a 2way contract/preseason invite*

Can we find our own Yogi Ferrell, Tyler Johnson, Patrick Beverely, Delly, type of player *as in undrafted* or even a Livingston type of player when he rehabilited his way back from the D League to the NBA
Or maybe a Seth Curry??
Can Christian Wood be our Whiteside with a 3pt shot???
Edy Tavaras be a Rudy Gobert type of player?? that Cleveland is currently holding on to?

Actually, we found one, but gave up on him, his name was Jeremy Lin but that is another story....

some other younger veterans could be the return of Tony Douglas, Norris Cole for the vet mins as well

Looking at how Dion Waiters has impacted the Heat last season along with Ferrell, having speed/quickness, with the ability to hit the 3pter, facilitate, can open things up in a TEAM GAME for each other, with ball/player movement

Then there is also the backup PG/SG that played with GS and Utah, however, I dont know if a VET MIN would be enough for him
Though if we do trade CA and offered an "open competition for the STARTING PG spot, it might be enough to convince some players to take the chance to highlight their ability to raise their value heading in to next summer...

I have always been a fan of Shabazz Muhammad at the "point/forward" position as well, I think he is a UFA, think the Twolves rescinded their Qualifying Offer on him too
Looking on some talents on bad teams and trying to find the diamond in rough, I guess...

though OFF TOPIC

are there really NO TEAMS interested in Ryan Anderson?
Maybe some teams do not want to help make another "super team" and the rumors of The Rockets owner putting the team for sale, having an effect on the trade along with a possible CP3 extension in the following years...

IMO, teams like OKC *for Ernes Kanter who has a player option next year* along with Greg Monroe *final year* of contracts could utilize a player of Ryan Anderson's as a stretch 4/5 with shorter contracts
Not sure about Denver

He is just a bad fit for us with our roster but I believe CA will play the TOXIC card if he doesn't get what he wants, making it a lose/lose situation...
Can we get back 2 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder for absorbing Anderson's contract and send him of later?
Maybe use him to help Luke Kornett in the meantime?

Meanwhile The Lakers will likely try to send off Deng, Randle, maybe even Jordan Clarkson and Larry Lance in order to have more money to go after players such as PG13, Lebron, maybe Westbrook *if he doesn't take that SUPER MAX DEAL, making him the HIGHEST paid player in OKC, along with resigning Brook Lopez, KCP to decent contracts on top of those "top tier players"

Ryan Anderson was a player of high esteem throughout the the league whose been on multiple winning teams... right up until media got a whiff that he might become a Knick. All of a sudden he became a dead weight scrub on the worst contract in NBA history.

To his credit Briggs consistently talked about Seth Curry and how we were missing out on him. Should've been an easy get.

while i would not mind Brandon Knight or Reggie Jackson if we didnt have to give up any draft picks with a Ryan Anderson swap, I feel Sean Kilpatrick would be a legit cheaper option that could FIT in as well

At some point, Kyle O Quin will be traded if we can net a 2nd rounder or 2 for him, can we maximize his value along with contracts such as Lance Thomas/Courtney Lee??
Would their value go higher without CA on the team or not???

I think we have to entertain going a TOTAL rebuild if a team such as Philly/Boston gives us many draft picks for him as well...
KP will be looking for THE MAX type of contracts that are now given out and I just dont know if we can become a contender and surrounding him with 2-3 OTHER TOP TIER players needed to be contenders before his max salary would kick in

It would all depend on if teams like Boston/Philly are willing to give us an OFFER WE CAN NOT REFUSE to give us time to persue many YOUNG talents through the draft on rookie scaled contracts and at some point be able to maximize on cap space like the Twolves did and The Lakers and possibly even Philly will be doing in the near future....
a team like Philly/Boston has the assets to trade for him even by overpaying and still have the ability to sign/resign much more FA's......

Players such as Kawaii, Klay Thompson, John Wall, Anthony Davis,
basically players that are top tier defenders along with making others around them better, that are on 1st/2nd/3rd team ALL NBA type of talents which are unlikely to be stolen from if teams offered a MAX super contract for them to stay on their current teams

Klay Thompson was the odd man out in GS though with Durants addition and did not make that list....

PG13 and Jimmy Butler are borderline talents depending if they other talents can be signed with them

And for Westbrook/Cousins, not sure if they are even on my list despite their abilties to put amazing numbers at times...
But its not like we would have the ability
Though we do not even have the salary cap to do so as they can be FA's next summer

Yes I believe Wall >>> Westbrook

Sure PT Baker 9 million for 2 years and give him a player option. That's a piss poor deal and will cost us a player such as those named above
