Four international players that will more than likely be playing for their respect countries almost every summer for the for seeable future.

Is this a good or bad thing in your opinion?

How are we going to develop these guys if that's going to be the case

international players don't get better cause they don't develop over the summer cause of home country team commitments?

USA players never play for their home country?

Hey you hit on another reason why we need ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT. Send in the black helicopters.
The new new core: Randle, RJ, IQ. Maybe Mitch. Future pick. Future trade. Future FA.

The Good- experience against top competition and a chance to emerge as a leader on their national team at some point.

The Bad- Players might not have as much time to work on things their NBA team wants them to work on...Strength training may also be less than optimal.

The Ugly- injuries...both significant or nagging.

Marc Gasol
Pau Gasol
Tony Parker
Manu Ginobli

Won 6 NBA championships between them, DPOTY award, many all-star appearances between them.

The international basketball helps keeps players in shape.
There's a risk of an injury that will linger into the regular season. That's the only real downside.

When you play competition in the offseasom and come into the season, you are usually ahead of the rest of the team because you are in game shape and have your timing.

The only concern I have are injuries. A serious injury in international competition means the player could miss the next NBA season, or a large portion of it.

There has been no evidence that international competition slows down a player's career. Look at Manu, Pau, Marc or Tony.

I think this is a great thing. All those guys are young and will be put in situations where a lot will be asked of them and on a big stage. I don't see how this doesn't help our guys develop. I think it becomes a bad thing when the guys get close ot 30 and you would prefer for them to have recovery time so they don't get injured

I think what makes it a potentially great thing is that we have international talent showcasing their talent overseas... I think that could help make NY a destination for international talent. I think we really missed out on Milos Teodosic as we need a starting PG, he's international, and I would have been comfortable with Lee/Dotson as our SGs next year
