Team dynamics make me want to say no but I think I would make that deal. George can run off screams too but they may have been weary of George re-signing with GSW after he got his ring.

They can field offers for a Two time champion in Thompson but if the Knicks take offers for KP everyone gets thei panties in a bunch. F'ing double standards.

Kay is already signed for less money than what they would have to pay George. Plus if it ain't broke don't fix it. The Warriors showed loyalty and good cap management in vetoing that trade.

Taking offers to KP would be like if they were taking offers to Curry. Klay is not the best young player on that team. However, I do agree that no one should be untradeable. The difference most teams listen without making it public knowledge that they are listening and proposing counteroffers. Phil should have come out and said we love KP and are not looking to trade him but if teams make offers it is our job to listen and that is all that is going on. Instead gave the impression that he was actively pursuing a trade of KP, which was just stupid. I will go on record that if Boston had offered Tatum, Crawford, and a future high 1st rounder, I would have taken that for KP as that move would have allowed us to do a total rebuild.

Here is the thing Knicks don't make it public the reporters are fed information by other GMs they go on to make it a circus. There might be a lot of rats in MSG for all I know.

Klay didn't miss his exit meeting. HIs exit meeting included a parade.
So many reasons to not make that trade. Paul is the better player but Klay might be the better fit.
For now. For next year.

No double standards.

It's the way it was handled. Publicly! Which is why this team is in the position it's in. You can see whats out there for the talent you have. Phil just felt the need to take public shots at people before they were made available.

There was no public shot at KP. KP skipping meeting fueled other teams to call Phil. Just like Pacers called Warriors. Teams were calling Knicks. You know and I know NY media and ESPN have their finger print all over anything Knicks. You have players like Melo who are in cahoots with the like if Steven A. and possibly other. then you might have rats in the Garden who are possible sources.

That is why the Hardaway signing was out of the blue. It's as if the Knicks have to create diversions to mislead the sources and media to accomplish moves. If it gets out in public you can almost bet the deal won't get done. Add a fourth team to any deal means not happening.

They are doing what Phil was doing bring back Melo means they are trying to win now. Add a vet pg and they are going to stifle the future even further. I had no problem with Phil listening to offers.

Because he is the reason for the Knicks current situation. Until that gets resolved it will be more of the same. The organization cannot go forward with him on the team. The organization is basically spinning its wheel in mud.

Because unlike people who support Melo, melohaters are not fixated on him. It only looks that way.

Because even when Melo isn't getting paid 60 million to be Prez/Saviour/Real New Yorker, it's his fault the Knicks are in a bad situation.

Because even when we win games with Melo, the organization cannot go forward unless he leaves.

Because even though Melo didn't give himself his own max contract and NTC, it's his fault it was offered to him.

Yeah the offer would be enough to make me stop and think if I ran GSW, but I don't think the added value George brings is enough to warrant shaking things up or risking losing George. Klay is a lot for the Pacers to have even asked for.
